with a grand total of 21 million kWh saved. We strive to be at the forefront of energy efficiency and sustainability technology so that we can offer solutions to our partners and save millions of dollars in energy costs, thus lowering the carbon footprint of local companies.
The current season for IAC activities is ending, but we will be back in action in September.
Thank you to all of our partners, engineers, and faculty for making this year at the LSU-IAC a historic success! Our team has saved partners 2.4 million dollars in energy costs,
The chemical additives used have a high boiling point. This allows the facility to utilize steam to concentrate their wastewater to reduce disposal volume. We recommended adding an evaporation unit for wastewater treatment to use on the separated waste streams.

Continuous high temperatures are not only dangerous for the environment but for people as well. We recently developed a new AR code to ensure that workers at this facility were not at risk for heat exhaustion. The indoor temperature in plant 3 gets very high and uncomfortable..
laser sensors to monitor production lines for jams and bottlenecks. Installation of the laser sensor would provide programable identification for potential bottlenecking. The optical triangulation decreases production downtime and provides early detection of potential problems
As the LSU IAC expands service to new businesses, we are kept on our toes to develop new AR codes that meet the needs of our partners.
During an assessment tour, the LSU-IAC team observed challenges with jams in the production line. We saw the opportunity to recommend
