On Wednesday morning Sinoj, who runs a lottery shop at Kochi developed severe chest pain while driving himself to a hospital. As traffic came to a standstill, he collapsed inside the car.
Two nurses - Anjali Baiju and Ardra Raj, who were travelling in a bus, noticed the commotion on the roadside. They immediately got off the bus, rushed to the car and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
A passer by Ranjith, took over the car and drove Sinoj to the hospital. The two nurses continued CPR inside the vehicle until Sinoj reached a hospital.
Doctors said he had regained signs of recovery by the time he arrived.
Respect to the two sisters. God bless
This truly made my day

This is the Kalpathy Agraharam in Palakkad, a historic Tamil Brahmin settlement established around 1425 AD. Renowned for its linear row houses, it is globally celebrated for its vibrant annual chariot festival and for preserving a timeless blend of Tamil and Keralite cultures.
The initial settlement was formed when the Raja of Palakkad invited priests from Thanjavur in 1425 AD to perform daily rituals at the newly built Kalpathy temple after a conflict with the original priests. The settlement expanded significantly in the late 18th century when waves of Tamil Brahmins fled Thanjavur, fearing attacks by Tipu Sultan. The Raja of Palakkad granted them refuge and land.
The houses follow a strict, symmetrical, linear pattern, constructed directly adjacent to one another and sharing walls. The houses on either side of the road form a protective "garland" shape leading directly to the temple. Homes are typically two-storied, featuring traditional sloping, tiled roofs. Thick clay and brick walls are paired with front verandahs and open internal courtyards to reduce the radiant indoor temperature, making them highly climate-adapted.
Unlike many modernized settlements, Kalpathy is heavily protected by heritage restrictions, allowing its centuries-old layout and traditional building techniques to remain largely intact. The village has been officially recognized by the Indian government as a heritage site due to its value as a traditional vernacular settlement.
The agraharams are synonymous with Vedic chanting, Carnatic music, and the artistic drawing of rice flour kolams in front courtyards. It stands as a living museum of how Tamil Brahmin culture seamlessly integrated with the local geographical and architectural norms of Kerala. #Palakkad #heritage #settlement #travel
Swetha killed her own father, mother & sister in cold blood, stabbing them all multiple times with help of her lover Kenneth only because her parents were against her relationship
Her sister was just 19
Feminists writing long essays to defend Siya Goyal should write some lines for Swetha too
A deeply disturbing picture of civic neglect has emerged from Kognoli Toll Plaza, where the women's washrooms are in an appalling and filthy condition despite toll companies collecting crores of rupees daily from highway commuters. A woman traveller, fed up with the deplorable state of the facilities, confronted toll plaza authorities on the spot and expressed her strong outrage. The incident has sparked widespread anger among commuters who question how toll operators can justify charging hefty fees while failing to provide even the most basic hygiene facilities. The shocking contrast between the 'Digital India' and 'Swachh Bharat' slogans and the ground reality at this toll plaza has left travellers deeply disappointed and furious.

A friend was going to Rishikesh for a trip. Checked decent hotels, ₹9K–15K per night. Flights from Mumbai to Delhi were ₹7K–8K one way.
On the same budget, he booked Sri Lanka instead. Got a 5-star sea-facing hotel for ₹3K–5K, better value for money, cleaner air, more peaceful and tourism friendly.
Indian tourism is getting too expensive for what it offers. If this continues, the country will lose appeal as people find better value elsewhere.
Indian hockey players bring pride and joy!
Congratulations to the women’s team for emerging as winners in the FIH Hockey Women’s Nations Cup. The team played exceptionally well throughout the entire tournament. Best wishes to the team.
May this win inspire several others to play hockey.

#WATCH | Nagpur, Mahrashtra: Family of a NEET aspirant, Abdullah Mohammad Talib, claims that he was allocated a school in Abu Dhabi as his exam center for NEET-UG re-exam scheduled to be held on 21st June.
His father, Mohammad Talib, says, "...After the admit card was downloaded at 4 pm yesterday, we found the Centre mentioned to be a school in Abu Dhabi. We were really shocked as we had not given anything as such in our options. We dialled up the helpline number. They told us to send them a mail. When we sent a mail, we received a call that we will be issued a fresh admit card by 4 pm on Saturday. We had given 3 districts as options but we now demand that Nagpur be given us as the Centre because he is shocked. There is no time to go to any other district. He cried a lot yesterday and did not even want to write the exam. But his mother tried to convince him. If he is convinced, he will appear for the exam. He does not even have a passport..."
Dear Mumbaikars,
As Mumbai is witnessing below normal #MumbaiRains so far and water stocks remaining under pressure, please follow these 8 simple steps 👇
1. Fix leaking taps and pipelines immediately.
2. Avoid washing vehicles with running water. Use a bucket instead of a hose for cleaning.
3. Turn off taps while brushing or shaving.
4. Reuse RO purifier wastewater wherever possible.
5. Avoid unnecessary pressure washing of compounds and pavements.
6. Ensure overhead tanks do not overflow.
7. Report major leakages in your locality to BMC & respective authorities.
8. Encourage rainwater harvesting in housing societies.
The monsoon is expected to strengthen soon but until then please use water responsibly. Every drop saved today will matter tomorrow💧
Let's do our bit.
Most Indians believe that the person they name as nominee on their bank account will get that money when they die. That belief is wrong, and it has torn families apart.
Here is what the law actually says.
Under Indian law, a nominee is not the owner of your money. A nominee is only a trustee. That means the bank will hand the balance to the nominee after your death, but the nominee is legally required to pass it on to your legal heirs, the people entitled to inherit under succession law. Receiving the money and owning the money are two different things.
This is not a small technical point. It is settled law. The Supreme Court laid it down decades ago and reaffirmed it firmly in a judgment in 2023.
A nomination, the court said, is simply a convenience. It gives the bank a single safe person to release the funds to, so the bank is not caught between fighting relatives. It was never meant to decide who finally owns the money.
The same rule applies almost everywhere. Bank accounts, fixed deposits, shares, mutual funds and provident fund. In all of them, the nominee holds the money in trust for the legal heirs.
There is one real exception. In life insurance, the law allows certain close family nominees, a spouse, parents or children, to keep the proceeds, though even here the High Courts have not fully agreed.
There is one more thing you must know because false claims about it are spreading online. In November 2025, the rules changed to let you name up to four nominees on a bank account instead of one.
Many social media posts claimed this finally lets you pass your money directly to whoever you choose. That is not true. You can now name four nominees instead of one, but all of them still receive the money as trustees for your legal heirs. The doctrine did not change. Only the number did.
So what actually protects your family? One thing above all, a valid Will. A Will overrides a nomination. If you want a specific person to truly own what you leave behind, name them in a properly made Will, not just on a nomination form.
Nomination decides who collects your money. A Will decides who keeps it. Most families learn the difference at the worst possible time.
