If your submarine is sitting witnessing an adversary submarine cutting undersea cables, what do you do? What are the ROEs? Observe and report? Or stop it as it is an openly hostile act with potentially serious repercussions? This is a real scenario U.S. and its allies could face.
@maz_jovanovich@Pete_Monks@McCainJack I think the US-2 is the better solution. But personnel, spares, etc are cost factors. Likely huge “PBL”and training numbers are being used. Not saying it’s right and boy I could talk all day. Just a take on why the wrong decision is being made - it’s easier.
@MarcusReports Hey Marcus, spot on. It’s that when smaller companies have locked in pricing to the bigger companies, thro ifh say 2025, there is no incentive for the big fish to go back and fix it, or even bring it up - so you may not hear that side of things for your story.
@AlderCheems@TroopsinContact I didn’t vote for her either in the last races. It will be interesting to see what happens. It may be a Kent vs Perez though and jhb getting knocked out in the primary.
@AlderCheems@TroopsinContact It’s sad. I was in WA-3 and hoping to be able to vote against him, maybe show at a town hall and let others know to vote JHB. Redistricting put me in WA-4 now so all I can do is feel bad for his kids.
@ValerieInsinna Months after floods in Del Rio, we were grounded and learned a number of our seats were inop for a time. So sure big deal. And some whined. But also part of the deal. And by other standards, we’re doing OK.
You can take risks and kick it or just whine. That’s solely my take.
@ValerieInsinna And by tech I mean more expensive / sophisticated tech (cyber and AI type capes) vs stuff we might export to a smaller Indo-Pac or Middle East country or that they may be interested in.
@ValerieInsinna I think he’s thinking the “big opportunities” for NATO tech sharing are export type processes to cut down on that stagnation.
But you are correct that there is much opportunity on the “people” aspect (multilateral efforts, thought, will…) in IndoPac and MidEast.
Analysts from the Central Intelligence Agency and other representatives of the U.S. Intelligence Community warned today that China may be able to develop its own Top Gun movie in as little as two years. https://t.co/oLURrtti9a
@ValerieInsinna I have received two fleece items of clothing from my workplaces. Both went to charity…
… and now I feel like a bad person thinking of the prospect of a homeless person wearing a Boeing fleece vest around.
@maz_jovanovich@eamonhamilton When they’d pulled up in arm / de-arm next to us in the Hawg. Fun giving the head nod down. Like from a barstool down to a recliner.
@trasannottarzan That’s a cool place. It was originally used during WW II to assemble the B-24 Liberator. Impressive assembly line that is a mile long or something like that. Very cool to see.
