@vespreken I don’t want to make this public but Gyökeres has 62 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions, with 0 shots on target in 40 of them (about 65%).
I tried to laugh but I cry everytime.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Life President Ken Friar OBE.
Since our formation in 1886, there have been many inspirational individuals who have driven our club forward, but no one has had an influence on Arsenal Football Club quite like ‘Mr Friar’ and he leaves an extraordinary life of service to the club as his legacy. One that will surely never be matched.
Rest in peace ❤️
I wasn't quite sure how I was going to feel watching a City game for the first time since the guilty verdict. But watching that yesterday - the smug smiles to the camera, the away fans waving cash around, the banners, chants. It's just all a hollow sham. The whole Premier League season is.
It can still be saved, just. But in truth we all know it's probably going to continue to drag for a few months at least before we get anything close to clarity.
So we'll see those scenes again and again this season because they are a great team with great players who are going to keep winning. It's just going to make such a mockery of this season.
Every goal, every celebration, every glance at the league table, you just ask yourself the same questions. What does it mean? What's the point of this all? What's the point of spending our money to watch?
Of course we will still do it and come kick-off of most games. (when City aren't playing in them), we'll probably forget about it and get caught up in what we're watching.
But then the full-time whistle will go and it will start all over again.
So many seasons/moments have been lost for millions of fans around the world already because of what they've done and this season is going to be no different. Such a shame.
How long is the stench of the “sham” going to corrode the meaning, worth, and very essence of the Premier League?
Listening to commentary about Manchester City’s players matching the defiance of their ownership and triumphing in adversity.
Listening to fans chorusing the names of the men running the club, wearing masks or displaying banners of their faces and jibing: “We’re Man City, we’ll cheat when we want.”
Victory being framed as “a lovely moment,” a show of togetherness as though some grave injustice has been imposed on City, rather than their hierarchy being found by an independent commission to have orchestrated financial doping on an industrial scale.
Their opponents and the rest of us wondering if any of this actually matters now and how much of it ever did?
There can be no business as usual pretence. We need a full stop to the absurdity.
Liverpool 0 Asterisk FC 3
Can't wait for Asterisk FC versus Asterisk SG in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Sport we can believe in? Or utterly meaningless?
Also, frying me how certain City players who are joining in on the post game celebrations were instructing their agents to secure get away plans when the sanctions land. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I feel sick watching this league now. The smug smiles when everyone knows how they got there.
The Premier League is a damaged product and this season is a farce.
Just because you win the title doesn't mean there isn't a lot of room for improvement, our attack is tragic and lacking individual quality, pace, penetration, and shooting quality. January can't come soon enough because we are trying to limp over the line again.
