Apparently, as per several Facebook statuses, the man in blue shirt seen with her is Nikhil Das, who was arrested in 2014 for molesting a student, the incident which triggered the whole Hok Kolorob movement

INTERESTING: Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund, which was set up in March 2020 during COVID to deal with emergency/distress situations, has accumulated a corpus of Rs 8,452 crore by end of FY 2024-25, but just Rs 87 lakh was spent, as per audit reports released. Still NO information on source of funds. PM CARES has so far refused to divulge any details under RTI Act. 🙏
Again, Noida channel anchors, the IT cell and their affiliates seem convinced they can discredit Gen Z by circulating videos of student leaders partying after Pradhan’s resignation. But to many young people, grabbing a cold coffee, partying or unwinding isn’t a moral failing. A generation that can wear a lathi charge as a badge of honour also doesn’t believe activism requires perennial performative misery. They can protest fiercely, laugh loudly and celebrate victories- all at the same time. That isn’t hypocrisy. It’s their worldview. Just not a Victorian one like that of Noida anchors.
Thank you PM for NOT firing Pradhan ji two weeks ago.
It gave us enough time for:
1. The end of godi media
2. A million funny memes
3. A thousand pictures of courage
4. The rise of a dozen new young political leaders
5. “56 inch ka chhota bandar”
The resignation of @dpradhanbjp is perhaps even bigger than @ArvindKejriwal defeating the late Shiela Dixit, a sitting CM way back in 2013. This resignation has happened at a time when the @BJP4India was on a mission to take total control of the political ecosystem in India. When the opposition parties were looking listless. When the might of the state investigating apparatus had almost taken a vice like grip on the opposition spaces. This resignation hopefully provides a pushback to the business of aaya Raam gaya Ram across parties. Now how do the opposition parties react to this latest jostle of our democracy is what will determine the road ahead.
Also, I remain firm in my assessment that the @PMOIndia needs a fresh set of advisors. This lot is clearly not reading the winds right.
Why is Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation unprecedented?
Because in 24 years, 9 months, and 18 days since Narendra Modi became Gujarat CM on October 7, 2001, and in 12 years, 1 month, and 29 days since he became PM on May 26, 2014, no minister of his council has resigned under sustained public and political pressure.
The only comparable Cabinet resignation was M.J. Akbar in 2018, following #MeToo allegations.
That is what makes Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation politically significant.
INTERESTING: Dont forget it took the CJI’s reference to the word “cockroach” to finally trigger youth protests. Now when videos of students allegedly being beaten or dragged were cited, the court says it has no time to watch them. Makes you wonder: what does our justice system choose to prioritise? 🙏
In 1997, this man was the ABVP National Secretary and was just about to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. There was a paper leak in Odisha and there was a major protest. This man participated in them. He was beaten by the police.
"We staged a protest against the Odisha government, in front of the secretariat. Around 1,500 students joined us there. While the protest was peaceful, the police charged against the activists. He was badly beaten up at that time. He had a few fractures too."
Who is he? Mr Dharmendra Pradhan. Imagine that Dharmendra Pradhan was protesting against paper leaks in 1997 and was beaten!
There is an amazing Indian Express article about him. Linked below. The irony? One of the interviewees says:
"under Pradhan's regime, the students will have more scope for dissent. "It is natural for students to be anti-establishment."
In that crowd that has assembed in Jantar Mantar, Indian mainstream media is irrelevant. They're 20 something year olds, and for the past 12 years, you've been busy ass-licking the government. As kids who grew in an era when the MSM got sold out to the Ambanis and Adanis, you have played no role in their lives. They are no longer dependent on mainstream media to raise an issue, they would prefer that you sit at home. The only reason reporters are having to go to protest sites is because some content is needed to run the channels so that the advertisers keep paying, but you aren't safe there anymore. If you actually go and stand near the home minister's office, and ask why protestors were beaten up, not only you'd lose your job and but your managing editor would also lose their job. So, essentially your existence as a professional has no meaning at all anymore.
Frankly, given that major IAC accusations against the Congress turned out to be jumlas and BJP was absolutely 100% involved including hosting protests at local offices, etc, I can understand why Congress would ally with the devil himself to bring AAP down. That collusion has cost the country brutally and AAP has never shown the slightest regret for the cost paid by the nation, even as it purged itself of Sanghis. You don't get to vandalize somebody's life's work and expect them to not oppose you with all means at their disposal.
Nobody wants #Journalism to die. The person who can save this today is @sudhirchaudhary. Convince him to end his farcical show on TV. Take him to Tihar.
If Sudhir wants to make a point, he can start by becoming an official party spokesperson but please spare Journalism. Don't turn your profession into political campaign tool.
'Citizens Being Made Slaves Of Indian Govt; If People Protest, Cases Slapped', Says Bombay High Court |@NarsiBenwal
"Now so many papers have been leaked. If people protest, you will slap cases. What is all this?" HC asked.

The choice of Iskon for mid-day meals in Kolkata is a worrying trend, since they're very clear that they won't serve eggs. Eggs are the cheapest, most complete protein available, and an integral part of our food culture. Is the govt saying that eggs can be thrown but not eaten?
