I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”

Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.

You are, in a real sense, made of stardust

When a massive star reaches the end of its life, it can explode as a supernova, releasing enormous energy and scattering many of the elements it produced during its lifetime into space. These include elements like carbon, oxygen, silicon, and iron, which are essential building blocks for planets and life.

These elements are thrown into space and gradually mix with clouds of gas and dust. Over time, those clouds collapse to form new stars and planets, recycling the material across generations of cosmic history.

This means many of the atoms in your body were formed in ancient stars or stellar explosions, (while hydrogen mostly comes from the early universe after the Big Bang)

These atoms end up in your body because they become part of the Earth itself when it formed from this recycled cosmic material. They are locked into rocks, water, and air, and over time they enter living things through natural cycles like the food chain, breathing, and water. For example, plants absorb carbon, calcium enters bones through food, oxygen is breathed in from the atmosphere, and water carries many dissolved elements throughout the body.

⭕️ Journalist Ken Klippenstein reports that the Pentagon quietly deployed elements of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to Israel earlier this year, according to an Army deployment order he obtained.

Klippenstein, citing a military source, says the move was linked to newly developed joint U.S.-Israeli contingency plans for potential operations inside Iran, including the possible seizure of Kharg Island. While the Pentagon publicly said the unit was deploying to the broader CENTCOM region, it has not disclosed that some paratroopers have been sent to Israel.
