Boomers have absolutely severed the social contract between the old and the young.

The old are supposed to take care of assets until the young reach adult hood, and pass the stewardship of the family and assets to the newly adult children.

Societies have been doing some form of this for ages.

Then the young are supposed to have their own kids, and take of the elders, and listen to their guidance.

But its so PVP now that your own parents will grind you out just to get a 10% boost on their property so they can get a HELOC and buy a new RV.
