@Ayylmao63963350@Zevan07@fitzfromdublin Because heat is considered a contributing factor in Europe whereas the US only measures where it has been explicitly stated on the death certificate. We have no way currently of knowing an accurate comparison between the US and Europe because of this
@Zevan07@fitzfromdublin The US (CDC) measures by when heat was recorded as cause of death on the death certificate whereas in Europe it is measured by excess deaths during extreme hot weather. Based on this you can’t compare the two easily as they’re measuring different things
