🚨🔴⚪️ GARY NEVILLE ON ARSENAL’S TRANSFER WINDOW:
“This is the worst transfer window Arsenal have ever had. You can accept it or deny it, but that’s the reality.
We looked at Arsenal as champions, so we expected them to act like champions. They made huge profits, they have the money — so why not strengthen the squad?
We’ve known Arsenal’s biggest problem for years has been in the attacking areas. They finally had the opportunity to address it properly.
Instead, they’ve sold some of the best attackers they had. Martinelli, their Champions League top scorer, is gone. Trossard, a proven game-changer, is gone too.
Arsenal had the chance to transform their attack. They chose not to.
Now they’re going to face the worst nightmare.” 😳

🚨🔴⚪️ 79 DAYS. TWO SIGNINGS. THAT’S IT.
Imagine having almost two and a half months — 79 days — to strengthen a squad that won the Premier League… and this is where we’ve ended up.
Two additions.
One is Christos Tzolis, a player with no Premier League experience. The other is Bruno Guimarães, a quality signing who, by all indications, needed Josh Kroenke to step in and get the deal over the line. Without that intervention, would Bruno even be an Arsenal player? 🤷♂️
And while bringing in only two players, we’ve let attackers leave.
Trossard — a proven Premier League game-changer.
Martinelli — our Champions League top scorer and another player who has repeatedly shown he can change games.
Both gone. No direct replacements.
Then we’re told to sugarcoat it. 😭
Why?
We had 79 days to operate. We had the financial power after reportedly generating £800m+ last season. Yet somehow, we couldn’t even get our spending beyond roughly £110m.
This isn’t about demanding panic buys.
It’s about asking why Arsenal didn’t operate like champions when we finally had the opportunity to strengthen from a position of strength.
Fans have every right to question this window.
We shouldn’t have to apologise for expecting more. 🔴⚪️

🩵🤍 Full statement by Lionel Messi: “I wrote these words on July 21, two days after the final… today, after what happened with my dad, I’m even more convinced of this decision than before”.
“After all this time since the final, and after thinking about it a lot, I want to tell everyone that I’m retiring from the national team.
"It was a decision that hurt and still hurts deep inside, but I understand that this is the right moment.
"I swear I always gave everything, not only in these last few years when we won everything, but before that too. I always fought and gave everything for this shirt, to bring you happiness and make you feel proud to be Argentine through football.
"There isn’t much time left, and different chapters are coming to an end. This is one that hurts me a lot. I love, I loved, and I will always love being part of the national team. I gave everything I had, and I don’t have anything more to give.
"Also, there are great young players coming through who deserve to be here.
"Thank you for all the love during these 20 years. I’m going to miss hearing you from the inside. Now I’ll be one of you, always supporting from the outside, in the good times and even more in the bad ones.
"Thank you to my family for always being there and for being with me throughout this beautiful but difficult journey. Thank you to every coach, teammate and director I had the chance to share it with. I take with me unforgettable memories and moments.
"I leave with peace and pride, knowing that together with my teammates we gave you moments we once dreamed of. It was crazy to experience all of this with you. I love you!
"Thank you God for making me Argentine.
"Vamos Argentina!
