@smithsmm I love this book! It will be my second year of teaching it next year and I can't wait. Taught it to an all-boy class last year, and they loved it! Some took copies home for their parents to read.

@davidjalmond My grandmother is now in a home suffering from dementia. Her mind has gone back to living in Felling in the 1940s and 50s. I believe she lived on a similar council estate. I love listening to her stories and have started writing everything down.

Updates to 2026 AQA English Language exam:

‘The changes will affect current Year 10 students taking exams in summer 2026 and onwards. Current Year 11 and those students resitting exams in November 2025 will not see any changes to the exam papers.’
