Some military coups in the African continent are justifiable.

Democracy has failed most African nations.

People go to the elections regularly, but elections produce outcomes which affirm the same three families.

For example [ in Mali] power have been changing hands between three families.

The youth are now gatvol of that. They want to break the cycle.

Never mind the fact that they are wearing military uniforms.
These are young people. They are want to cut chord with French colony.

In West Africa, power has been consistently taken by old leaders who still swear their allegiance to their colonial masters.

The youth say, it's enough now.

They are now takinh over power with guns and say let's stop the nonsense.

We can't blame these soldiers. We can criticise, but we need to understand.

Even in SA it's not just enough to be in power through elections. Are people governing as the ANC documents say "People shall govern". We need to critically ask that.

Power is not for self enrichment.
