@StFual @dr_appie @elivieira Plant experiment; two pots with the same pool of seeds, one get plant nutrients the other doesn't. Differences in straw length within each pot is genetic, between pots is not. There can be gene by environment interactions too, sure, you will capture some of those effects in gwas.
