Nos últimos meses têm-se falado muito de uma eventual crise no sector da restauração, com os representantes do sector a pedirem ajudas públicas e descidas de impostos.

Será assim? O que é que nos dizem os números? Vejamos então:
Nos últimos anos, o sector da restauração cresceu bastante, graças à expansão do turismo e aumento do consumo. Desde 2019, a restauração cresceu 69% em termos nominais e 25% em termos reais.
Esta tendência de crescimento continuou em 2025, embora de forma mais moderada. Porém, em 2025, o volume de negócios na restauração aumentou 2,9% em termos nominais, face a 2024.
