@JewishCyclist3 @DrJesseMorse This are some examples of the procedure. Those screws just over the ankle bother all atletes, specially in kicking and combat sports. They are removed once union is achieved. They control the bone rotation until it heals.
@JewishCyclist3 @DrJesseMorse This is a nail, we open the Tibia at the top of it, then insert a guide wire inside of the medullary canal after reduction. Then we ream the canal with larger drill bits until we achieve proper fit. The we nail the implant 1.5mm thinner than the last drillbit
@JewishCyclist3 @DrJesseMorse Tibias are difficult to heal. Usually it takes between 6-12 weeks to heal IF no complications. Delayed union or nonunion are frequent. Then to achieve nail entry you have to open the extensor mechanism. Muscle atrophy is also common
@Brett_A_Taylor Ortho...she has severe bilateral DJD. Had a Mako Uni done in the right, needed a TKR but wanted to compete. She will need a conversion in the future. The Lt has an ACL done, arthrosis, so its a re tear not much instability as it is already deformed. Go for it 🥇

@Barefoot_Will_ That Adidas has a hollow carbon plate around the whole midsole providing stability. The Midsole is wider than the foot insole for the same reason. Excellent for the knee, only for neutral runners.
