His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed once posed a challenge: 50 years from now, when the last barrel of oil is loaded, will we look back with regret or celebration?
Today, the UAE makes a powerful investment in that future by joining PAX SILICA.
We are deciding who we trust to forge our supply chains and safeguard the Al that will define the future. Fifty years from now, we will look back and say that when the world changed, we did not hesitate.
Proud to stand with our partners in Abu Dhabi. 🇺🇸 🇦🇪
One of the funniest events of Napoleon's campaign in Egypt is when he's having a conversation with a bunch of Muftis about Islamic History and at the same time, proclaiming the 'Sahada' and starting off his sentences with praising Allah and the Prophet ﷺ leaving them astonished.
I love to write on napkins. 2025 was messy for me filled with personal losses, failures, and constant noise. But it taught me one thing: have the audacity to choose Freedom. No price is too high for it; it’s a necessity, not a commodity 🕊️
Philippines 🇵🇭
In November 2025, the Iglesia ni Cristo (religious group), led a huge demonstration in Manila (about 650,000 people) demanding transparency, accountability, and justice, especially connected to public spending controversies.
I warned about this earlier on my article I wrote for @NATO. The protests we saw in Turkey and Serbia show how predictable the consequences of unchecked power are. Reality is now validating the warning.

The core argument was simple: when democratic institutions are hollowed out, when power concentrates too long in one place, public pressure doesn’t disappear but it builds. Here are some examples that prove this point:
Romania 🇷🇴
Romania has experienced significant protest activity, driven by deep public frustration over corruption and perceived influence over the judicial system. Thousands of citizens took to the streets in Bucharest, demanding accountability and urgent judicial reform.
Kenya 🇰🇪
From June to July 2025, large protests especially opposed a controversial Finance Bill and ongoing police abuses. At least 65 people were killed, more than 1,500 arrested, and President William Ruto’s government faced intense pressure.
Timor-Leste 🇹🇱
In September 2025, protests erupted in Timor‑Leste, after the Parliament approved a budget item to spend roughly US $4 million on 65 new Toyota Prado SUVs. In response to the escalating protests, Parliament voted unanimously to cancel the SUV purchase plan.
Türkiye 🇹🇷
In March 2025, 2.2 million protesters erupted after the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, a key opposition leader. Thousands demonstrated across major cities, exposing deep concerns about democratic backsliding under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s tenure.
Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Over 100,000 people demonstrated against corruption and budget policies. Many chanted demands such as “Resign!” and “Mafia out!,” directly criticizing powerful figures like Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borissov. By December 2025, the government resigned.
