Loopfall launches on Steam on November 16. 🎉
The full game has all three modes and a Daily Challenge: a new challenge every day, the same tunnel for everyone.
Wishlist it and Steam tells you when it's out: https://t.co/6RBZLPEnzT #indiedev #gamedev

@jamesto nudges :)

[Lukas 🛡️ @lukaskorba]

Two days left of #SteamNextFest. You don't steer the ball: on the Steam Deck you tap the left or right side of the screen, and every tap is one nudge. Physics does the rest, and it's harder than it looks.

Steam Next Fest is over — thank you to everyone who played the Loopfall demo, left feedback or added it to a wishlist. It means a lot to a solo dev. The demo stays free on Steam: https://t.co/6RBZLPEVpr #SteamNextFest #indiedev

@jamesto Thanks! 😅 The biggest takeaway was that the trailer doesn’t explain the gameplay well. It’s all about physics, timing your nudges, and letting gravity do the rest. I think people expect smooth steering or tilting, so the difficulty and learning curve might surprise them!

Loopfall's Daily Challenge, day two. Wednesday: pass 9 gates. Thursday: survive 15 seconds in Mine Field. It took me five tries. Coming with the full game. Free demo in #SteamNextFest: https://t.co/6RBZLPEVpr #indiedev

AI disclosure: the music and sound effects were made with ElevenLabs, and the translations with Claude. AI also helped with the 2026 code; the idea, the design and the 2014 physics are mine.

Around 2013 I saved a wallpaper into a folder called Inspiration. This week the game it became is in #SteamNextFest.

Twelve years, two attempts to leave Unity, and three numbers that never changed. 🧵

[Lukas 🛡️ @lukaskorba]

So back to Unity 6, with the three numbers I tuned in 2014: 0.625, 0.12 and 0.28. The ball's mass is still 0.65.

The first run in April felt exactly like 2014.

The chapter in between: 2019, I tried rebuilding it from scratch in SceneKit to get away from Unity. It got this far, then died on physics: the ball wobbled instead of rolling. Back to Unity in 2026, and this time I finished it. The whole story: https://t.co/xqjNhJeVQs

For the skeptics: the original 2015 upload is still on YouTube, 11 years old: https://t.co/1LQhwFJzuK

2015: I prototyped a ball in a neon tunnel. My best score in that video: 49. It still is.
Then life happened (two kids). 2026: Loopfall is finished and in #SteamNextFest.
Can you beat 49? https://t.co/6RBZLPEnzT #indiedev

If you like hard, short, one-more-try arcade runs: Loopfall is in #SteamNextFest with a free demo. A wishlist helps a solo dev more than you'd think 💜 https://t.co/6RBZLPEnzT #WishlistWednesday
