@paulcullystuff @BMcSport The roof I get, but they must have totally neglected the drainage system - embarrassing to have that much surface water on a brand new pitch.
@Peter_Fitz Refreshing and accurate perspective. Perhaps we can focus more on remembering Kokoda (a triumph, defending our home) than Gallipoli (a slaughter, at the direction of the British)
@MattRowley I think the Board need to realise that their positions are not ceremonial. They have important legal duties. This blowout and the former Chairmanβs behaviour was on their watch.
@iainpayten Nobody likes a club folding, as it has a horrible human impact, but I think you'll find that a large proportion of the Oz rugby community feels that 5 teams is too many.
@hughcavill I feel for the players, but unfortunately rugby has not gained any traction in Melbourne. This is not a reflection on the individuals involved. I was at the Super Round last year - modest crowds and 99% of locals did not know about it and did not care.
@BMcSport@haribaldijones Great idea. Here is some unsolicited (& possibly unwanted) advice - don't talk over each other or your guests; don't indulge in neverending monologues; your opinions are interesting, but genuine analysis and insights are more interesting; be objective - not just a cheerleader.
@Pick_DriveRugby @NSWWaratahs Will you re-sign with the Tahs beyond this year? Is the Board waiting to see how the team performs this year before deciding whether to extend your contract? Has the Tahs stint been harder that Shute Shield & MLR?
@paulcullystuff I think they're speaking to the wrong ref. Zero credibility after the Melbourne Bledisloe call and subsequent denial that it was the wrong call.
