Newcastle are low hanging fruit in the transfer rumour eco system at the moment. They are being harvested on an industrial scale. It’s profitable because it causes strong reactions and fuels engagement. The Isak saga was the biggest transfer story for years and people want to recreate that drama. A lot of what is being said and written isn’t true. Try and relax. It’s June #nufc
Our online fanbase do nowt but feed other clubs with ammunition to use against us. Jump on every story, no matter what the source, and whine and moan. They just can’t wait to put a fucking negative spin on everything. #NUFC
The goal has nothing to do with Lewis Hall being right back. It’s about a desire to defend your goal & block the shot. He gets close enough to do that.
I love Hall, he’s had an excellent season, but too many goals of late have involved him. It’s why he was taken out of the side.
The negativity on here is so pervasive. All summer every transfer we make will be the wrong one (judged before the player kicks a ball), every signing other clubs make will be a genius and all of it will be Howe (or his nephews fault). It’s all going to be very very tedious #nufc
Newcastle won 3-1. Dan Burn scored and played well. St James’ Park didn’t turn ugly and fans chanted in support of Eddie Howe.
Never judge a game on a team sheet or take the temperature of a fanbase via social media #nufc
Thank you, Tripps 🖤🤍
After four and a half years of incredible service to Newcastle United, we can confirm that Kieran Trippier will leave the club this summer when his contract expires.
Kieran arrived in January 2022 with the club in the relegation zone and played a crucial role as he went on to lift the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years.
Fans are getting banned for asking their mates if they want their ticket for a game they can’t make yet this can happen so openly and no one bothers to step in to stop it.
Not exactly a good look is it?
Eddie Howe & his staff give every player everything they need to be their best version. It then comes back on the player to help himself. This was part of players’ inquest post Brentford. That (& Hayden below) are important for context considering some ludicrous claims on here
So in summary…
O’Hara thinks the players wants & needs come above the better of the club and any idea of having transfer fees that need meeting, or even a player having a contract are redundant in this argument. He also believes #NUFC fans think we’re ‘the biggest club in the world’ because we won’t sell Isak for less than we value him. 🎬 CUT!
In all honesty that felt chalk & cheese to the chat with Charlie Austin last week - no real debate just a repeated interruption of ‘but he wants to leave’. It’s quite obvious he’s more suited to his role on TalkSPORT, in which the only task is to rile up callers in order to get angry responses that fans then point fun at on social media 🥱
An absolute pleasure to be invited on again but Sky Sports need to do better for me.
Alexander Isak’s agent has failed him so badly. I don’t condone Isak’s behaviour in the slightest, but he was told the move to Liverpool would happen even though they are unwilling to match valuation and all had to do was behave badly to force it through. He’s now got a player who has alienated a fan base, tarnished his reputation within football forever who is probably not going to get the move he was told was his to make.
He signed a six year contract with no release clause. His agent negotiated that. Trying to force your way out with three years left on that deal was always going to be a very risky road to go down but he did it anyway.
Isak might still end up at Liverpool but the chances are fading rapidly and have been for weeks now. How he repairs the damage remains to be seen but he will play next season regardless.
The sooner he realises the terrible mistake he has made and apologies the better. Play well, score goals, he will get a huge move next summer if that’s what he wants #nufc
