This week in 1939, the British papers reported on a human interest story from a Norfolk town about two brothers returning from school. Oh, and both brothers had been assigned female at birth: in present-day language, the brothers were transgender.
Whatever your views on the issue Braverman has got the law wrong. Discrimination against transgender pupils is illegal under the 2010 Equality Act and schools should most definitely ignore this advice from her.
