Amateur Equities Trader using @robintheblack #thestrat. Day trading 30m/60m signals via 2m reversals on #FTFC only. I’ll show some winners and losers here!
@CNBC says "Oil comeback accelerates" because it's up 20% from yesterday's settlement price.... it's still down 35% from yesterdays open and SO deep inside day. @RobInTheBlack#thestrat
"If you need to be right before you move, you’ll never win. Perfection is the enemy of the good when it comes to emergency management. Speed trumps perfection. The problem right now is everyone is afraid of making a mistake."
@Tazman9Tazman@RobInTheBlack Happy to help, it takes time, I've been studying #thestrat for about a year now and finally just starting to be comfortable enough to enter real trades as opposed to papermoney. Take your time, manage your risk, and keep up with the community!
Starting to really understand how to take these long-term signals on shorter time frames. Took $CALM off an inside 30 with a nice 2-2 60m reversal, triggered on the 2m 2-2 reversal. Risk was $9, yields $144 or 1600%. @RobInTheBlack#Thestrat
@Tazman9Tazman@RobInTheBlack Also - sometimes it’s hard to find it on the initial break, this wouldn’t have come up on my scans because the daily was still red at the time of the 30m break.
@Tazman9Tazman@RobInTheBlack 2/2 - the benefit of taking it on a shorter time frame allows much smaller stops - EG much larger size for the same risk, allowing me to capitalize on the ones that go.
@Tazman9Tazman@RobInTheBlack You certainly could take the 30 and put the stop below the 30s low but I find it more effective to wait for the first “punch” - the breaking of the 30 - and then take a subsequent signal on a small time frame such as the 5 or 2. (1/2)
@ADBYNOT@RobInTheBlack Yep, I find I like to know if it’s a dud or a winner quickly and this trailing method allows that. I’ll move it directly to the forming pSAR if my trade is in opposition to SPY on the hourly or Daily as well for extra defense
Refining my trading method to take 60m/30m signals on a 2m reversal and trail my stop with pSAR, lots of small stop outs but when I get a runner it goes and goes. Here's one from yesterday on $IDXX with a $9.75 risk yielding $211 or 2150% return on risk. @RobInTheBlack#thestrat
Here's some monthly triangles on $ES back to the dot-com-bust. Next obviously levels around 2350, 2000, and then 1750... really hoping it doesn't get that bad. @RobInTheBlack#TheStrat
All this volatility is making futures move. Caught a 70+ point move on micro-SPY futures off an inside 2m with FTFC down to 15m. risk was $5.75 per contract. @RobInTheBlack#TheStrat
Here's a scan I built for my longer swing trade stuff, easy setup to find things that are up on the month and inside on the last week. I'll build a watch list and set alerts for the stuff that looks strongest, not inside on quarter or month. @RobInTheBlack#thestrat
So I built these scans and have had good luck with them so far this week, it allows me to ONLY be looking at things that (a) have good volume, (b) are moving fast, and (c) are either full-time-continuity long or short. Hope this can help you!

$NFLX 30m hammer creates 1hr hammer REV STRAT. Entry at $342, stop $0.70. Closed at the end of day for a profit of just under $8. Wish I didn’t miss that inside 30 to start the day! @RobInTheBlack#thestrat
Whipsaw today but made some quick gains on $TSLA off a hammer 15 to trigger the hammer hourly. Entered at 574.20 stop of $1.70. Took $10 on the reversal of the hourly. #thestrat@RobInTheBlack
