The third speaker is Michaël Boissonneault from Uppsala University talking about language vitality and census data, looking at how census data can be used to examine language vitality in addition to data from Ethnologue.

Last one out in the first session today is Ghazaleh Esfandiari-Baiat from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm presenting the MEET corpus – a corpus consisting of physical, digital, and hybrid meeting discussions.

Today is day 2 of #sling2023 in Lund! Before the session starts, why don't we talk a bit about how SLING came to be.

It was initiated through an idea from one of the PhD. students at Lund University, @sandracronhamn, who was looking into creating a national forum where a PhD. students in linguistics could meet.
