@darweeniewaves @pokemon_psts Gen 6 and on-wards is where you always have to follow a strict path, Gen 9 is where you could mix it up however you wanted but there is no level scaling for the leaders so you kinda had to stick to a general path anyway if you didn't want to get stomped.

HM requirements, Saffron guards, Snorlax, Team rocket guards, battling trainers, Psyduck, Kecleon, Construction workers, researchers, patrat, seasons, plot. The few times this isn't true is the gym order before the Gen 6 games.

If any of it were true, then that data breach wouldn't have happened the way it did. If you're getting IDs from people why not tell them to cover up sensitive information and only have DOB shown if you're not using the whole IDs.
