"It is a remarkable favor of Almighty God that in these last times and in this old age of the world He has willed, according to His unspeakable love, forbearance, and mercy, that after the darkness of papistical superstitions the light of His Gospel and Word, through which alone we receive true salvation, should arise and shine clearly and purely in Germany, our most beloved fatherland."
– Book of Concord, Preface, 2
His Kingdom is not of this world…
Umm—I think you misunderstand that verse.
John 18:36 says that Christ’s kingdom is not from this world, not that it is not for this world.
The Greek phrase (ek tou kosmou toutou) is about origin or source, not location. Jesus is saying His kingdom does not derive its authority from the fallen world order. He is not saying His kingdom has nothing to do with the earth.
Matthew 28:18–20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Let us now go to other passages.
Matthew 6:10 “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Revelation 11:15 “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ.”
See, this is why people are laughing at the poor doctrine coming out of “Team Good™️.”
It’s a doctrine of defeat. The doctrine of Christ and His Church are of Triumph.
Matthew Harrison is out there talking to the boys like he had to take some RSO ruffians and toss em out by the ears after a rough paddling for violating the LCMS's moral standards. But behind closed doors he's terrified of being sued for pulling support in breach of contract (also called doing the right thing), so he's quietly letting the contracts expire and resolutely forbidding anyone affiliated with corporate from speaking negatively about any of them by name, no matter how repugnant their actions.
He can posture all he wants, but he's the one who let the LCMS stay in partnership with organizations like LSSNY that proudly facilitate adoptions to gay couples since at least 2014.
The fact is that he's been asleep at the wheel the entire time and only takes accountability measures when the public catches wind, which is why he directed his office to deny so many RSO renewals since this account started posting about how bad things were in 2024 (honorable mention to @ad_crucem, who picked up the signal and boosted its reach).
If you advocate open borders so you can evangelize aliens, you're trying to advance God's Kingdom using political power, just like you accuse those dirty Christian Nationalists of doing.
Only it's worse because you're failing and advancing Satan's kingdom instead.
"I don't want to marry you b/c of your past" is not equivalent to "I don't forgive you."
This may seem obvious to a Christian, but to a modern antinomian, it's anything but. Here's why: ⤵️
What an election! What a campaign!
By just 5 votes, a 0.1% margin, Harrison has gotten his majority and held on.
I personally didn’t believe the results when I first saw them. Point one percent? I thought for sure it was a meme.
A lot of us EDC handguns. And while a gun is a good start, today’s shooting is a reminder that threats are multifaceted in public. In the event of a mass shooting, there will be female cops responding and you’ll need to get yourself and your family to safety before they arrive
Anons built America, the Founders were Anon. John Adams had Novanglus. Benjamin Franklin had Silence Dogood and Poor Richard. Sam Adams had over a dozen anon accounts posting all over. Hamilton, John Jay, and Madison all shared the Publius account. To be Anon is to be American.
Twas the night before Juneteenth,
When all through the hood
Not a negro was stirring
Not even Yakoob
The chickens were washed
By the kitchen with care,
In hopes that George Floyd
Soon would breathe air
"He got it from the African warlord bishop"
"Wellackshually he got it from the Baltic guys, who also touched him"
Why does the "apostolic succession" obsession always end up sounding like bugchasing?
Sir, you know
I find this to be common in Theopolis and CREC circles.
"Hey wives, don't obey your husbands. Obey me"
"Hey daughters, don't trust the judgment of the Father who raised you, catechized you, loves and nurtures you. Trust me instead."
To be abundantly clear:
This is incredibly creepy and inappropriate. This is the work of usurpers, snakes, and demons. Frankly, I get a gut feeling that the FBI should check their hard drives. When men want to insert themselves into healthy families, usurp the provider and protector of the home, and gain trust with the ladies of another man's family...I don't trust them.
I wonder if John's wife is aware of this activity, and this appeal he is making you young girls.
