"My name's Harvey. I'm 68. I work the night shift at TravelCenter truck stop on I-40. Pump diesel, ring up snacks, clean showers. Same blue vest for thirteen years. Truckers fuel up, grab coffee, hit the road. Most are gone in fifteen minutes.

🤩🤩But I see who stays parked.
Like the trucker who'd been sitting in his rig for three days. Engine off. Never came inside except for bathroom. No food, no shower, just sitting.

🤩Fourth morning, I knocked on his cab. "You okay, buddy?"
He rolled down the window. Looked exhausted. "Broke down. Waiting on parts. Can't afford to eat and fix the truck both. Truck wins."
"When'd you eat last?"
"Tuesday."
It was Friday.

🌭☕️🍟I went inside, made him a hot dog, brought chips and coffee. "Store policy. Can't sell day-old stuff."
It wasn't day-old. But he was starving.

Started noticing others. The female trucker sleeping in her cab because shower credits cost too much. The rookie driver rationing gas station food because rookie pay barely covers fuel. Truckers choosing between eating and making deliveries on time.

💖✅I began keeping food. "Expired" items still perfectly good. When truckers looked desperate, I'd "find" extras they could have.
Word spread on the CB radio. "Harvey at the I-40 TravelCenter helps drivers."

❤️Then something unexpected. A trucker I'd fed years ago made it big, started his own company. Came back, left $1,000. "For drivers who are where I was."

👆Now our TravelCenter has a "Trucker Relief Fund." Other truck stops copied it. Fifty-three stops across nine states.

I'm 68. I scan Slim Jims and pump diesel fuel at a highway truck stop.

😕😓But I learned, truckers deliver everything we need to survive. And they're often starving, broke, sleeping in their cabs because one breakdown destroys them financially.

😢💔Watch your lot. Someone's been parked three days without moving. Someone's choosing between fuel and food.
Find the expired snacks. Offer the shower credit. Sometimes a $4 hot dog is what keeps a trucker from giving up on a road that already gave up on them."

AOC: This administration is killing Americans. I don’t care what state you’re from. You could be from Louisiana. This administration is killing Americans. They are killing people by taking away their health care. They are killing women by having them bleed out in parking lots. They are killing seniors by imposing cuts to Medicaid and to Medicare recipients.

And they want this to be about where you’re from or who you are. But the fact of the matter is they are for UnitedHealth. They are for Big Pharma. They are for these corporations, and they are cutting your health care. They’re trying to divide us all by geography, region, state, or identity, but that’s not what this is. They’re here to kill people. That’s what these policies do. They kill people.

You can’t get your chemotherapy. You can’t get your long-term care. You’re bleeding in a parking lot because your doctor is not allowed to provide you a life-saving abortion when you’re having a pregnancy complication. And they don’t care. They don’t care. It is one of the most horrifying realities that we’re just living with day to day. You go to a pharmacy and your prescription is too expensive to fill, and kids are being told to ration their asthma inhalers.

This administration wants to pretend that this is about being a Californian or being whatever it is. This isn’t. This is about being a working-class person in America. This administration has imposed and created a class warfare in this country where, if you’re poor, you don’t deserve to live. That’s what this is about. And increasingly, not even if you’re poor—if you’re working class or middle class.

It’s just horrible, and we have to be able to reverse the trillion dollars in health care cuts that this administration and the Republican Party have imposed and get people the most basic human right and element of dignity, which is the ability to see a doctor without going bankrupt.

The fact that Todd Blanche has refused to comply with the court order to release the Epstein files following Katie Phang's lawsuit, should have ended his bid to become AG, and be a more significant story.
The fact that the Epstein Estate ACTUALLY PAID a settlement to one of the women who alleged that Donald Trump raped her as a minor, and it was paid AFTER Epstein died, as told under oath by Epstein's longtime accountant, should be a more significant story.
The fact that Trump said he wasn't ever on Epstein's plane and then we found out he was, should be a more significant story.
The fact that senior officials gathered in the Situation Room to concoct and coordinate an Epstein coverup should be the most significant story of all.
And when you combine ALL these stories and add to it his hiring of Alex Acosta, the birthday card, the innuendo Trump wrote on the card, the movement of Maxwell to a more lenient facility, and then - especially - his persistently panicked behavior on all things Epstein, it really should be the end of his presidency.

BREAKING: Trump's $10 billion BBC lawsuit is BACKFIRING BIGLY and may force Special Prosecutor Jack Smith's January 6 evidence back into the courtroom

After making $16 million from Paramount/CBS to settle one of his frivolous lawsuits, Donald Trump figured he could keep suing media companies and rake in the dough from corporate CEOs who would rather give in than face a protracted and expensive legal fight.

But Trump got greedy and wanted a $10 billion payday from his next target, Britain’s venerable public broadcaster, the BBC.

What he's getting instead is a legal nightmare of his own making.

Trump sued the BBC last December, claiming a documentary on their news program Panorama, "put words in his mouth" by editing together portions of his January 6th speech delivered nearly 50 minutes apart.

He even bizarrely claimed the network used AI to fabricate his words — it didn't. The BBC did splice the footage, which sparked an internal investigation, the firing of some senior officials at the broadcaster, and the issuing of a written apology.

An apology simply wasn't enough for Trump, however. He still wanted that $10 billion.

Now his lawsuit against the British broadcaster is unraveling spectacularly.

A federal judge ruled this week that Trump must hand over detailed financial records from more than 400 companies tied to his family trust — because HIS OWN lawsuit claims the BBC's editing damaged his businesses.

You can't claim massive financial injury and then refuse to show your books. Judge Enjoliqué Lett wasn't buying the attempted dodge: "All of President Trump's brand, properties and businesses are impugned... Reputational, economic damages, all of that is now at issue in this case."

It gets worse. The same judge greenlit subpoenas targeting Trump's inner circle — Donald Trump Jr., Steve Bannon, and Stephen Miller — to determine what Trump actually intended on January 6th.

And now, in a third gut-punch within 24 hours, the BBC is demanding records showing exactly how Trump LOST his executive privilege claims during Special Prosecutor Jack Smith's January 6th investigation.

Smith's team had already gathered evidence establishing that the Capitol violence was "foreseeable" to Trump, that he "caused it," and that he made "a conscious choice not to stop it" once it began. If the BBC gets that evidence, Trump's entire defamation case collapses.

Trump built a career suing media outlets into silence. This time, he sued an organization willing to actually fight — and in doing so, handed prosecutors a roadmap straight into his finances, his inner circle, and his own conduct on January 6th.

Plus, the public may get another chance to review the evidence that Jack Smith amassed against Trump, evidence that judges appointed by the litigious president have made sure that he’ll never be held accountable for.

Sometimes a lawsuit is simply a trap you built for yourself.
