An update to say that I still have not received these results but we all tested positive yesterday at another location in Brooklyn. Queens needs more testing facilities. Schools need more testing.

I waited with my 2 feverish kids on a long line where there used to be a large mass testing facility and now there is a tiny tent with one hard working swabber. If we had been tested at school, would we be in this situation? @NYCMayorsOffice @DOEChancellor @UFT @MOREcaucusUFT

Today I tried 5 of these testing sites that @NYCMayorsOffice posted earlier in the week. 4 were closed and I was turned away from 1 at 4:30 even though it closed at 7 because the line was over 4 hours long. Would this happen if we were tested at school? @MOREcaucusUFT @UFT

@ronniealmonte I had to get 3 tests this week on my own time because of a school exposure. All the testing sites near my home in Queens have closed so getting tested for me automatically means traveling at least 45 minutes on public transit or paying a $50 copay. It’s too much.

@ireeniekrugman You should be able to do FMLA to care for your daughter who can’t care for herself. They take your CAR but you get full pay up to 12 weeks if you have that much CAR. You can also borrow up to 20 days. I hope you can figure this out. I’m so sorry there is so much misinformation.

Stop with the data already. Because of COVID my first grader has had 11 full in person days since March 2020. No, she can not yet read. I know that and so do her teachers. We don’t need a stressful screener to figure that out. This is not trauma informed. @MOREcaucusUFT @UFT

Teachers exposed to covid at school are being told not to worry and not to quarantine because they are vaccinated — even though we know vaxxed folks are testing positive, getting sick, and transmitting the delta virus to others. How is this ok?!

@tomcsheppard @NYCMayor I’m so sorry you are receiving this kind of hate. As a lower grade teacher, I have seen the racist ideas that guide people to take these tests and segregate our schools. You did the right thing. Thank you!
