@meganroseruiz Haha...I thought it's hanging it's head in shame for some reason (maybe like conveying why can't they let it "act" normally than what an AI algorithm makes it up to do!!!)
@BranFlaixx Rightly said. I mean, just look at this "fluffy monster" whose paws turn into human hands (5 fingers!!!?). It is supposed to convey a sense of wonder and playfulness..but all I see is that it is sad for some reason. Poor thing learned to self-hate (being animated by AI 😂)
@miniapeur Hmm...ok, before anyone gets funny ideas (I hope it's not too late), please note that the sum indeed is a divergent one.. infinity. The -1/12 however is what is called a regularization, a value you can "assign" the summation (to avoid dealing with infinities) in some problems
@PhysInHistory But you can always question the validity of "the laws"...are they applicable as is or corrected if need arises....can we do that with the God?...🤔
@martinmbauer Maybe you guys are into MMAs, but it's a violent sport not everyone likes. How about saying guestimations/ back of the envelope calculations instead...like what it used to be referred to as. (I found Mahajan's lectures/book examples entertaining, but again the title is kinda...)
@LIVEpositivity Don't generalize people!!!....some learn, some don't, some try but fail to act....they come in all types. The question is up to you...and what do you want to believe?☺️
@ProfFeynman@PhysInHistory I understand that none of thermodynamic "equations" fared here because they lead inequalities (second law), but why not the Newton's law of motion applied to fluids that goes by the name, the Navier-Stokes? Ah, right, we haven't fully figured out the nature of solutions to it!😄
@BigReg1903@pickover Maybe for visual clarity/ convenience!?. Say if we were to define a whole number set W, which is the set of all natural numbers N, plus 0, representing this set on the figure kinda makes it virtually indistinguishable from set N..because there is just 1 element (0) more in W
@BigReg1903@pickover Mathematicians are not always that hung up on precision, there is a whole chunk on approximation theory! It's more of a semantic/historical reason why 0 is not in "N", but that doesn't mean we have to be so rigid about it.. we can define No and give it a sense of belonging!😁
@pickover The choice of 'number' representations in the image!?....like why 2pi when you already got a pi, why only negative integers, why alternating signs in rational and real algebraic, why represent 2.25 in decimals and others as a fraction!?and lastly, where are my complex numbers!?😅
