@edu_K_ated My district makes it easy for us to keep kids safe and yet hard at the same time. They block YouTube for kids so I can't embed videos into my lessons, even after using PureView. I spent several hours on my upcoming lesson to then find out they are blocked. #6710DB2
@ArobinsonAshlee I have the same issue with my kinder students. It takes 20+ min to get everyone logged in at the beginning of year. I have them use the same computer whenever I can & it remembers them/makes it quicker to login next time! I also have their login info on a laminated card #6710DB2
A “big shift” I am struggling with is being okay with failure. Sometimes technology is not going to work the way we want it to. But, we have to be willing to give it a try for the benefit of our students! #6710DB2
I believe that teachers need to change their mindset about technology use in order to bring about classroom change by being more willing to allow their students to help them as they try new technology and Web 2.0 tools. The kids sometimes know better than we do! #6710DB2
One way to use Twitter in the classroom is to tweet their exit slip at the end of class. Have students write about a takeaway from the day’s lesson and then post their Twitter-inspired exit slip in a class discussion forum. #EDUC6710
