The 2023 #Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule continues the longstanding practice of gravely undervaluing the contributions of ID physicians.
Undervaluing their contributions will only undermine efforts to have a robust ID workforce in the U.S: https://t.co/pB2jh3Fi01
We have diagnosed anaplasmosis in two sick hospitalized patients in the last week with febrile illnesses. I did not know there was a late peak in Oct and Nov. Keep your eyes peeled!
@IDSAInfo@theobserver It is a bit misleading to say that "ID doctors per county" is a measure of adequate coverage. It is the nature of medical systems that ID workforces are concentrated around population centers and hospital/healthcare systems, not by county.
The trio blew off a Republican debate Monday night at Villanova University. All that does is cement their carpetbagger status, says @mcwatchdog. https://t.co/2qksHeGbzZ

@ShohamTxID Well, it is "open book" for UptoDate now, so, yes, in a way, they are testing your ability to look up information. My last recert 2019 was open book, and was probably harder as us neurotic ID people have to look up everything! Good luck, I am sure you will crush the boards!
.@CDCgov finds 35% of people infected w/ COVID-19 had not returned to their “usual state of health” 2-3 weeks after testing +, indicating the virus "can result in prolonged illness even among persons w/ milder outpatient illness, incl. young adults." https://t.co/OPIJnSEDJu

Reports of a campaign to discredit and diminish the role of Dr. Fauci at this perilous moment are disturbing. If we have any hope of ending this crisis, all of America must support public health experts, including Dr. Fauci, and #StandWithScience. #AmericaNeedsFauci
"Mild" cases of COVID-19 are meant to be over within two weeks, but thousands of overlooked people are struggling with months of debilitating symptoms, @edyong209 reports. https://t.co/Z7xTddKlML
"medical gaslighting" - that is a new phrase for me
@PaulSaxMD@BradSpellberg@IDSAInfo Health care systems continue to grow and expand, and many of us work for them. Rather than have us paid by insurances or Medicare/Medicaid, have health care systems, who know how to get paid, pay an "ID tax" to keep us on line and viable.
