@Tamus1990@maraisbored and even so, we're calling the game slop, not you. you don't need to be offended for Hasbro's sake - i get called a freak to my face for liking Miracle Whip - I'm pretty sure people you don't know saying a game you like is "slop" should not be making you feel like shit
@Tamus1990@maraisbored its "slop" in the sense that we are just tossing everything in a blender now - I like Transformers, LotR, Final Fantasy and Spongebob.
The thing is, if I want those things I can enjoy them alone. I will no longer be able to do that with Magic, with UB being in standard.
@matthewmercer@memeslich This will get a lot of "don't sell yourself short"s (or the inverse of that), but I see it as: would I have enjoyed Fantasy High as much with Mercer behind the screen? Prolly not. Likewise, I don't think I would be a fan of Mulligan DMing Vox Machina. Which is fine.๐งต (1/?)
@MythicMeebo I'm not a fan of them myself, but you know what is attractive? people doing what they want with their own bodies and people respecting
that shits hot af
@yamidamian1@Jenn_the_Judge I find it interesting that they point out the 2 Nadus thing, but there are cards like Spark Double or cards that grant abilities if other cards, not exactly like having two instances of that ability active are impossible
@ghirapurigears There is design space for this concept to work in paper. Would it be different than this Teysa? Yes, but I think the value of letting commander players have access to it far outweighs "this niche design doesnt work on paper"
@ghirapurigears Everyone going "well, this aspect can't 1:1 be related on paper" is missing the point - this card was in development at some point, and they could have just gone "make this a paper card, like Me/Skullbriar or experience counters" and no one would have batted an eye 1/2
@Zarren364@Daltoniuss@ChrisKMooney I also really like the idea of "extending the burn" so to speak
"All ignited cards you own remain ignited for an additional turn"
@Zarren364@Daltoniuss@ChrisKMooney "If you own an ignited card"
"Where X is the number of ignited cards you own"
"Whenever you ignite a card"
Like, I feel this could work too be totally honest
@Zarren364@Daltoniuss@ChrisKMooney I disagree and think you solved it, actually
"Ignite 3 cards until the end of your next turn"
And
"Ignite 3 cards until your next end step"
(To ignite a card, exile the top card of your library. You may play ignited cards as long as they remain ignited.)
@TheVampireQween Arfarfarf! :D ...rraow....? *tilts head looking for It*
*clears my throat*
I'm sorry, ahh, what are we getting again? Asking for a friend...
@ProfesorCaos2@CrisSmithMTG@Aspiringspike@cftsoc3 I believe it's something like
Nissa+Slogurk on battlefield, Takenuma+Specialist+SNC Saclands in hand/yard
Loop milling with Takenuma/returning specialist/ return saclands which get sac'd+trigger nissa/ repeat?
@tiddypills I know its still like the argument of it dies to doomblade for a creature but is it at all an improvement that it can more easily be counter spelled? like cascade you can counter either the Shardless or the payoff but not both, but you can just counter the Appraiser and thats it
