George Stinney Jr. was a Black teen wrongfully convicted and executed at the age of 14 for the murder of two white girls on today's date in 1944.

He was one of the youngest Americans to be sentenced to death.

His conviction was posthumously vacated in 2014 when a court ruled that he had not received a fair trial.

DeSantis and Republicans won’t allow this to be taught due to “white discomfort.”

Who gives a fuck about comfort when George Stinney was made to sit on a Bible because he was too small for the electric chair.

Hiding this doesn’t erase that it happened to George and his family. Allowing children to learn will create compassion and empathy “woke” - exactly what Republicans hate.
