Your Website Should Do More Than Introduce Your Business.
A good website should not simply tell people who you are. It should make it easier for them to understand your services, find the information they need, contact you, make enquiries, access resources, and take the next step with your organization.
That is why website development should begin with understanding what the website needs to achieve, not simply choosing a design.
At LWEGATECH, we develop professional websites around the needs of your organization, combining functionality, usability, performance, and a strong digital presence.
Whether you are building a new website or improving an existing one, build with purpose.

Customers Still Want to Meet You.
One reason I call myself a sales intern is because sales is one profession that keeps changing.
Just when you think you've figured it out... everything changes. π
After COVID, many of us believed face-to-face meetings were on their way out.
Those of us in the online business world thought, "This is our time."
But it turns out that was only temporary.
Today, almost every serious prospect says:
"Let's meet."
"Come and take me through what you do."
As a sales intern, it took me a little time to adjust.
I kept trying to close deals online, only to realize very few were converting.
So I rolled up my sleeves and got back on the road.
And you know what?
The conversion rate improved.
The lesson?
Technology has made it easier to connect.
But trust is still built person to person.
Sometimes the fastest way to close a deal... is simply to show up.
How are you converting prospects into paying customers today?
Have a fantastic week ahead, my friends.

One thing we have to all admit is hardest when you have set up a business and now try to grow it, is transferring your (business owner's) way of thinking, working, checking, communicating, escalating, and delivering from your head into a repeatable company operating system.
So that you can be 10 of you delivering the same without the client missing the founder.
That makes me give those who have built multi-country, operational businesses hats off for their ability to scale beyond self.
ADVICE
UGANDAN YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
I know that some of you entrepreneurs who follow me on X can get discouraged from waking up and pushing like one called me today morning, because you expect this same negative energy to focus on you.
PLEASE DONβT FOCUS ON THAT!
Wake up daily with your head high, say a prayer and push regardless of the odds because many Ugandans even on X need jobs, need opportunities.
You are the ones who have the ability to employ that one extra person and you donβt have to be perfect, perfect people produce nothing.
Time is never on your side, since we simply as humans just pass through this world, we arenβt meant to be on earth forever, fight to make your mark. Noise will never stop!
Itβs you the entrepreneurs that are going to make the much needed economic difference for Uganda because you are the one who takes the risks.
In life, you can choose to be the one who throws stones at the FRUITING TREE or fight to be the FRUITING TREE. If you become the fruiting tree, expect STONES!
Hehe I grew up in a CHILDRENβS HOME with 48 boys who are men today in really bad times. Somehow I attracted fights even as a kid and itβs hasnβt stopped.
Even in tourism people would wake up daily to take me on, itβs reduced now, some see my value others have just given up and in all this, I have seen Gods hand.
By Gods grace I fight to limit my madness( they say every man is mad but the degree of the madness varies) because I found my purpose in life.
So if you come from a background like mine, nothing is going to be easy, itβs a full time fight until the Lord calls you home.
Be encouraged, donβt give up.
17 Years of Grinding, Failing, Succeeding... and Above All, Staying in Business
Seventeen years ago, I made a decision that would completely change the direction of my life.
At the time, my career was in networking and systems. I enjoyed building networks, managing servers, and solving technical problems.
But during my free time, a good friend of mine, Arthur, introduced me to web development.
What started as curiosity quickly became a passion.
The more I learned, the more excited I became.
Then one day, I made a decision that felt small at the time but turned out to be life-changing.
I decided to build a business around it.
That business became LWEGATECH.
Today, 15th July, LWEGATECH celebrates 17 years.
Looking back, I can honestly say the journey hasn't been easy.
There have been exciting moments.
There have been difficult seasons.
There have been projects that exceeded expectations.
And there have been days when nothing seemed to go according to plan.
But through it all...
We kept moving.
There's a line in Bob Carlisle's Butterfly Kisses that has always stayed with me:
"I must have done something right..."
Whenever I hear those words, I smile.
Because despite all the challenges, setbacks, lessons, and sacrifices...
I also feel like we must have done one or two things right to still be here after 17 years.
Today, my heart is simply filled with gratitude.
To Client No. 001, thank you for taking a chance on us.
To every client who has trusted LWEGATECH over the past 17 years...
Thank you.
To my Mum, Dad, and family...
Thank you for believing in me, even when the journey wasn't always clear.
To my friends...
Thank you for your encouragement.
To every member of the LWEGATECH team, past and present...
Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and contribution to this journey.
And above all...
Thank You, God.
Your grace has carried us further than our own strength ever could.
Do I think I've achieved everything I dreamed of?
Not yet.
Has LWEGATECH become everything I envision it to be?
Not yet.
But one thing has never changed.
We know where we're going.
And every single day, we continue to work toward that vision.
Seventeen years have taught me that success isn't built overnight.
It's built through consistency.
Through learning.
Through adapting.
Through getting back up every time life knocks you down.
The road ahead is still long.
But we're excited about what the future holds.
To everyone who has been part of this journey...
Thank you for believing in us.
And as we've proudly said for the last 17 years...
LWEGATECH... WE MAKE IT A POINT.
Happy Anniversary to everyone who has walked this journey with us.

SSL Certificates Don't Make Your Website Hack-Proof
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear in the web hosting industry is this:
"But I bought an SSL Certificate. How did my website still get hacked?"
I've even had clients tell me:
"You IT people always lie. You told me my website was secure because it had an SSL Certificate, yet it was infected with malware."
I understand why many people think that.
When they see the π padlock in the browser, they naturally assume their website is now completely protected.
But that's not what an SSL Certificate was designed to do.
So, what exactly is an SSL Certificate?
SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer (today's certificates technically use its successor, TLS, but most people still refer to them as SSL certificates).
Its primary job is simple:
To encrypt data as it travels between your website and your visitor.
Think of it like sending an important package.
Without SSL, your package travels openly, and anyone along the way could potentially look inside.
With SSL, the package is securely locked before it leaves you and can only be opened by the intended recipient.
The journey is protected.
But...
SSL doesn't inspect what's inside the package.
If the package already contains malware or malicious code, SSL will still deliver it securely.
What SSL does protect
β Encrypts information during transmission.
β Protects passwords and login credentials.
β Helps prevent data interception.
β Builds trust with visitors through HTTPS.
What SSL does NOT protect
β It doesn't stop hackers from exploiting vulnerable code.
β It doesn't remove malware from your website.
β It doesn't prevent DDoS attacks.
β It doesn't replace regular software updates.
β It doesn't secure weak passwords.
Website security is never achieved by a single tool.
It's a combination of many layers working together.
At #LWEGATECH, we look at security as a complete strategy, including:
- SSL Certificates
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Malware scanning
- Regular updates and patching
- Secure coding practices
- Strong passwords and access controls
- Backups and disaster recovery
- Continuous monitoring
Because real security isn't about buying one product.
It's about building multiple layers of protection.
The padlock in your browser is important.
But it's only one piece of the security puzzle.
Have a wonderful #TechThursdayWithLJB, my friends.

Before blaming AI, your team, or the outcome...
Ask yourself:
"Was I really clear enough?"
Many times the problem isn't the result.
It's the instructions.
Clear communication is one of the most underrated leadership skills.
#Leadership#AI#Management#Entrepreneurship
The quality of the answer depends heavily on the quality of the question.
Whether you're writing an AI prompt...
or asking your favourite girl out. π€£π€£π€£
Be clear.
Be specific.
Your chances of getting the answer you want improve dramatically.
#AI#Communication#Leadership
AI Taught Me Something About #Leadership
One lesson AI continues to teach me is this:
Your instructions must be clear.
Otherwise, don't be surprised when the results aren't exactly what you expected.
To be honest, I'm still learning how to write good AI prompts.
Almost every day I catch myself saying things like:
"No... that's not what I meant."
"I meant this instead..."
π
At first, it can be frustrating.
But then I realized something.
AI isn't the problem.
My instructions are.
The clearer my prompt becomes, the better the response becomes.
That lesson extends far beyond AI.
As entrepreneurs, managers, and business owners, we often expect excellent results from people while giving unclear instructions.
We tell a team member to "finish the work."
We ask someone to "improve the system."
We expect our colleagues, spouses, or clients to somehow understand exactly what we're thinking.
Then we're disappointed when the outcome doesn't match our expectations.
It reminded me of something Harvey Travis wrote:
"We often question the fruits, yet the problem is with the roots."
The more I study businesses that have remained profitable and continued growing for many years, the more I notice one thing they all have in common:
Their systems are well defined.
Their processes are documented.
Their expectations are clear.
Their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are deeply rooted in the business.
AI has simply reinforced that lesson for me.
Whether you're talking to AI, a colleague, your spouse, or a client...
Clear instructions produce better results.
So today, before blaming the outcome...
Ask yourself:
"Was I really clear enough?"
You might discover the answer wasn't in the result.
It was in the prompt.
Have a wonderful Tuesday, my friends.
