@IndigiNewsMedia
if you want to learn more about writing culturally respectful social media content. They offered a journalism training course last fall. Maybe they will offer it again! #bmc382
Great one-hour webinar. I found the social media campaign example shared by Dominique from the CMA a helpful illustration of marketing that differs from selling a product #BMC382

@JMarucia Great question! https://t.co/JEIVVtko5H! Or, at least we are working on it. The BC Accessibility Act will eventually require all post sec digital content meet accessibility standards.
@ZevKlymochko My co-worker and I were just saying how we notice the number of mistakes in all online content, including news articles has significantly increased in the last two years. Are we getting lazy? #bmc382๐ค
Speaking of industry stds @ZevKlymochko@NSmith and #bmc382 any recommendations for a simple but effective photo database? Drowning in photos and can't identify the subject/photographer or sharing permissions so I can't use on SM
@NSmith These are great, but my favorite was "Hello Literally Everyone" that day Facebook was down. That's the cheek that makes me love Twitter. I tried to find the post to share here, but no luck. The comments on that post were golden.
I've read that the value in Twitter is conversation. I was recently told that this is no longer true that the world is too polarized for meaningful conversation on Twitter. Thoughts #bmc382?
@JMarucia Basically, I tweeted a congrats on someone's dissertation which included the words Muslim and Islamaphobia in the title. Out of nowhere came an inappropriate response from an account that seemed like it might not be real.I blocked and restricted comments.
Hey #bmc382! Unfortunately, I had to learn a bit about trolls, bots and the geopolitics of Twitter this week. If anyone has any recommended reading on this topic let me know. I really like to know more about the tech details.
@ZevKlymochko This is what it looks like, I (nursing) retweeted a retweet with quote from Kelli . The original post which was the announcement of the award winner no longer shows @NSmith is this bad form? I wanted to support Kelli's point
@Rida_Rehmani It's too cringy to think about ๐ฉI can't even look at my Tweets after I post because I hate finding mistakes after checking them 20 times.
