Draco glanced back, arching a brow. “Huh, surprised you noticed. No one else has.” She flushed red. “Thanks Granger.” He grinned, pausing before he continued to walk away. “Oh hey, I think your shoes are untied.”
Her eyes widened and he winked, all while Ginny continued to laugh

“Did Malfoy get a haircut?”
Hermione turned in her chair, squinting at the Slytherin table. “Possibly… I’m not sure. I don’t think I’ve paid close enough attention to him to notice.”
Ginny raised a brow in disbelief. “As if. You’d notice if his shoe was untied”
Theo’s curious.” He smiled sheepishly.
“Yes, of course! No problem. I can give it to you during lunch.” She had to force herself to stop before rambling too much.
“Great! No rush.”
He turned his back to leave when Hermione spoke impulsively. “Nice haircut, by the way.”
Enough Part 3 / / Angst
She’d made it to Friday. She wasn’t sure how she managed to work alongside Draco all week sans breakdown, but she did. The days were relatively easy, her work kept her busy and distracted. The nights, on the other hand, were torture.

The Astronomy tour was quiet at midnight, with a chilly whispers of wind and sparkling lights in the dark sky. Draco sighed with his back slumped against the wall, his forearms on display while resting them on his propped knees.
“Hi,”
“Miss Granger and Mr. Malfoy.” Slughorn hardly winced at Hermione’s reaction.
“Him? Of all people?”
“Will that be a problem, Miss Granger?” He smiled lightly, as if he knew that, in her eyes, it was.
“Pardon me, Professor, but I cant be partners with him!” She sputtered out.
She nodded, watching his retreating body. “Sure.”
Her mind was stuck on his words. Was she so hung up on the past that she didn’t notice his new person? She answered her own question as she watched him laugh along with her housemates.
She needed to make it up to him.
“Granger, it has been brought to my attention that we have not been communicating very well.”
“Huh what?” She tapped her quill on her chin as she continued looking over her report.
“My friends think we’re dating with all the time we spend together!” Draco exclaimed.
“I’m a hypocrite for preaching reconciliation whilst holding a silly grudge from when we were kids,” she admitted. “It‘s been bugging me lately, seeing you for the first time.”
“The first time?”
She nodded. “I don’t think I have before, but I do now.”
They shared a smile.

“Hi,”
“Thank you, Malfoy.” She gave a small smile on return. “I’m sorry too,” she began.
“What?” Draco scoffed. “You have absolutely nothing—”
“Oh shut it, let me finish.” She rolled her eyes. “I’m sorry for not allowing myself to see you’ve changed, even though you clearly have.”
