How about drivers’ experience? For example blind zone alarm. You can definitely drive an old car without it, however it is not “luxury” per se. This can be extended to HUD, fuel consumption/hp, wireless tech, dimming mirrors and so on and so on. Arguably you can survive and reach point B without all this. Seclusion from technologies though.
