Tim’s book is gold

[Tim Soulo 🇺🇦 @timsoulo]

Big announcement! I wrote a BOOK!!!

It's called DISCOVERABLE, and it's 223 pages of my best thinking about marketing.

It is:

- 60% first principles of marketing that I've developed over 15 years of doing it.
- 20% stories of how I helped grow @Ahrefs from under $8M to over $150M in ARR.
- 20% stories of other companies and brands that inspired me.

The underlying narrative is simple.

There are only three ways how people discover products and businesses:

1. They search. On Google, ChatGPT, TikTok, Amazon, etc.
2. They notice. Advertising, or content that gets organic traction.
3. They talk. People recommending you to their friends and peers.

In my book, I'm explaining the fundamental forces behind making each of these three pillars work for your business.

The book is not technical at all. No graphs. No diagrams. No dashboards. It doesn't teach you how to use marketing tools or how to succeed on specific platforms.

I wanted to make sure that the ideas from this book would be relevant for years to come, no matter what changes our industry will face going forward.

Without a doubt, this is the best piece of writing/thinking about marketing that I've ever produced.

And it would mean the WORLD to me if you'd grab a copy and give it a read. 🙏

Already available for pre-order on Amazon (dot com).

Release date: November 24, 2026.

P.S.
I was telling everyone it took me 2 years to write this book. Then I opened the revision history of the "master" Google Doc, and it was 4 years old.

@DavidSHolz Bootstrapping Ahrefs and Yep

[Glen Allsopp 👾 @ViperChill]

I have some big personal news: Detailed has been acquired by Ahrefs. 🎉

I'm also super excited to be joining the company to work on marketing and product.

A few months ago Tim Soulo invited me to speak at their upcoming conference in San Diego, Ahrefs Evolve.

I brought up an idea I hinted at on the Ahrefs podcast last year, and 24 hours later we were on a call about me potentially joining the company.

If you follow me you'll know I'm obsessed with all things strategy and research in this space - and more importantly, doing the work - so to get to do that on a much bigger scale is genuinely a dream of mine.

The Detailed SEO Extension and all current features will remain free.

In five years it has grown to 450,000+ weekly users, which I'm incredibly grateful for. We'll add new features at some point, while keeping in place what's already there.

Detailed will remain a separate brand and I'll continue to personally update relevant projects there.

My focus now is on product and tool ideas, research reports, marketing insights and everything actionable we can share to help grow your business.

Finally, a HUGE thanks to everyone who has read and shared my work over the years for this to even be a possibility. 🙏

I'm really excited for what's next.

ChatGPT and Perplexity indexes are now live in @ahrefs Brand Radar! Gemini coming soon and some others in the works.

This isn't another rank tracker / LLM visibility monitor. Think Site Explorer for LLMs with a large amount of data being tracked.

Meet Ahrefs' NEW Brand Radar [beta] 👋

[Sam Altman @sama]

an idea for paid plans: your $20 plus subscription converts to credits you can use across features like deep research, o1, gpt-4.5, sora, etc.

no fixed limits per feature and you choose what you want; if you run out of credits you can buy more.

what do you think? good/bad?

[Patrick Stox @patrickstox]

Ahrefs Analytics is adding features like crazy. Already this month:

-Flexible filters
-Continents
-Acquisition channels (including LLMs as a category)
-Internal traffic

Free for up to 1 million page views per month.

Ukraine continues to fight evil and needs your support. Recently, Russia hit Okhmatdyt, Ukraine's largest children's hospital, with a missile. Please consider donating to the official charitable fund to help rebuild the damaged buildings. Ahrefs has already donated $1M https://t.co/D7PB4mlkmh #StandWithUkraine

[Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa]

Today, Russia struck Ukrainian cities, resulting in over 170 injuries. As of now, 37 fatalities have been reported, including three children. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones.

In total, nearly 100 facilities were damaged, including a children's hospital, ordinary houses, kindergartens, a maternity hospital, a college, and a business center. The rubble is still being cleared at these sites.

Russian terrorists must be held accountable for this. Mere concern does not stop terror. Condolences are not a weapon. We need to shoot down Russian missiles. Russian combat aircraft must be destroyed where they are based. Strong steps must be taken to eliminate any security deficit.

The world has the necessary strength to do this. Our partners are capable of making it happen. Decisions are needed as soon as possible.

[Dmytro Gerasymenko 🇺🇦 @botsbreeder]

@SylvainL Yes, we keep iterating.

[Dmytro Gerasymenko 🇺🇦 @botsbreeder]

Ahrefs is getting closer to publicly promoting the Web Search Engine we are working on. In case you missed the previous announcement – the point of our search engine is to share ad revenue with content creators 90/10. With 90% going to creators.
