If you’re no longer satisfied with William, then please, just let him go. Leave him in peace and find an artist who meets the expectations you’ve created.
But please stop constantly pressuring this young man as if he has an obligation to be everything you want him to be. He already has so much on his shoulders. He’s trying to balance so many things at once, and despite everything, he continues to do his best to handle it all and do things well.
You spend so much time pointing out what he does or doesn’t do, but have you ever stopped for a moment to ask yourselves if he’s okay? If he’s healthy? If he’s eating and getting enough rest? If he’s able to sleep? If he’s doing okay emotionally? Because in the middle of all these demands and expectations, it feels like you’ve forgotten something very important: shouldn’t you be the place where he feels safe?
Whenever something doesn’t happen the way you expected, you seem to forget everything he has already done: the effort, the hard work, and all the times he has given his very best. One decision you don’t agree with or something that falls short of your expectations seems enough to erase all of that. And that simply isn’t fair.
He sees those words too. He reads what you write about him. And just because he doesn’t respond doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel. His silence doesn’t mean he has no feelings. He has his own way of expressing himself, showing how he feels, and even asking for understanding. But so often, you’re so focused on what you want from him that you stop listening to what he’s actually trying to tell you.
Please don’t forget that before he is the artist you admire, he is a person. A human being who gets tired, who can feel overwhelmed, hurt, insecure, and lost too. He fought, worked hard, and gave so much of himself to get where he is today. In many ways, he also helped build the path that allowed you to be here supporting him today.
So instead of constantly looking for something to criticize, maybe it’s time to look at him with a little more humanity. He doesn’t need fans who are only by his side when everything happens exactly the way they want. He needs people who can recognize his efforts, respect his boundaries, and remember that behind the artist is a human being who deserves kindness, understanding, and peace.
If you truly say you love him, then please be a safe place for him too. 🙏🏾
