Our students had an amazing week of author visits! Today, they met an author of VOCES SIN FRONTERAS: OUR STORIES, OUR TRUTH a collection of bilingual graphic memoirs.

The LYLC has reached 1600 young people through 45 presentations in our city and beyond. LYLC has sold over 5000 books, and has raise nearly$55,000 that has and will and continue to go toward the LYLC Voces Sin Fronteras Scholarship Fund that will help many youth right in our city

Voces Sin Fronteras authors have been busy recently. Last week they spoke at two very powerful but very different events - DC Jail and Phillips Collection. Both audiences connected with their stories. It was a reminder of how powerful their work is for EVERYONE to read.

Our authors had a great time w @TheStory_House last night. They met young fans and award-winning author @LuluDelacre . She encouraged and inspired our authors to keep telling their stories and reaching the young readers who need them most.

Wow! Just got a surprise donation from a local author w this note - "I was so moved by Voces Sin Fronteras. It is such a beautiful, inspiring book. I hope my donation can go towards buying Voces Sin Fronteras for students who will love it as much as I did."
