Trump and Vance have declared themselves to be on Russia's side in the Russo-Ukraine war. This is a catastrophic mistake for America's national security. And let's be clear: Trump and Vance now personally own that policy. It is not the view of a majority of Americans of either or no political party.
@bruceanderson Trump & Vance love Putin. The US is throwing Ukraine under the bus. The only country physically between the US & Russia is Canada. Is Canada the next country to go under the Putin bus? We should all be worried.
@stephen_taylor I think it is quite reasonable to suggest that if AB energy exports are to be sacrificed to fight Trump's tariffs, perhaps an equivalent amount of the equalization payments AB sends east could be returned to AB in compensation.
@GutsandSeeds@NorthShoreNews Sure does. And Marine Drive is already problematic. Adding another 3000+ homes to the corridor is going to make it a nightmare, unless the developers are also building a new bridge to downtown.

Is #CNV doing traffic/transit studies on how the city's infrastructure will accommodate this development? #NorthVan
Unless the developer is planning a new bridge to downtown from the N. Shore, 3100 new homes here will turn Marine Dr into a parking lot. ##NorthVan

@BrentRichter@NorthShoreNews Not until we find out how this happened, and why North Van taxpayers are stuck with the bill for something Metro Vancouver appears to have mismanaged.

"While the overall average compensation per job in B.C. is around $75,000, the forestry sector pays about $123,000, miners earn an average $146,000, and workers in oil and gas earn $209,000 in average. "

Wow. BC is second in Canada in public sector job growth, just behind PEI, but second last in private sector job growth?!
That's sad.
And #unsustainable.
