@geokonic @jbillinson Honestly imo only Sebastian, Elizabeth, Zendeya, Tom H and mayyyyyybe Tom Holland count because they got their big break in the MCU and managed to not paint themselves in a corner during/after. RDJ, Ruffalo, Cumberbatch and ScarJo were all well established before the MCU.

@liliane1207 @jbillinson btw I don't agree he came back for money, imho he came back cuz he prob accepted cap is what he will be remembered by and does not care about breaking out of it now. if you think all his work is peak and great cool, we at least agree his filmography is a reflection of his skills.

@liliane1207 @jbillinson Sacrifice's festival reactions were lukewarm and most certainly not in the race for any awards. Like I said he isnt bad, his 'best; is just not as good as other people's best. We're talking break out award-condending work in comparison to most his MCU costars.

@Booka115 @jbillinson It's not just luck, pattinson is similar to sebastian stan, they were heart throbs, but chose plenty of small roles and indies and was ridiculed for those choices before finally getting noms and 'real' movies. Some actors just don't want to take that risk.

@jbillinson gosling used as an example because i find their age and general vibes overlap, like if i were a director who can afford evans then other actors like gosling, gyllenhaal would be an option too. and not to mention those from the GB

@suchin545 I'd say Sebastian, Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are ones that really got a start in MCU but clawed their way into actual cinema. I'm a seb stan, you can't convince me he had 0 offers for blockbusters after CATWS but he took on minor characters or indies and carved his way.

@bluewmist True but also all the long periods of time I've spent cooped up at home not wanting to go out were also the times I was unemployed and therefore anxious about the future and money, and staying at home is free. Got no idea what feels like to leisure with no financial anxiety.
