@Ravaalek@TKsMantis Civ 7 is the worst example he could use, compared to 5 and 6 no one really plays it .Its hard to gauge sales because Take Two didnt release much data but 7 way underperformed . Best i can find is 1mil for Civ 7 , 3.9mil for civ 5(up to 15 mil as time went on) and 6.9mil for civ6
@RNolan96194@agraybee Makes you wonder what his legacy will be when he is gone . I doubt his books will be read nearly as much as Tolkiens are , but his work will probably be studied a lot
@PokerPolitics@agraybee Its funny that everyone always treats Winds like its one book but if its gonna be bigger then Dance its more like he has three books to finish instead of two. Maybe it makes him more optimistic to think it’s just two more away.
@3ricDraven@Lord______Snow If you think about how much has to happen and be written just to get Dany out of the far east by itself you really start to see it . Even worse nothing over there matters to over arching plot. Once Dany sets sail at best she is gonna get letters so we hear whats going on there
@regularboi69901 Making the main character a side character with almost no agency is a very baffling choice, and hunter who is one of the best parts of first book is gutted in that one . Have you ever read his other book https://t.co/YBJQ2QGXmw ?
@regularboi69901@schrondonowitz Weirdly Dimitry changes the story in the later books to include more of the video game story . In fact he changes the the more russian sounding names as well, the ranger commander Melnik ( Мельник) is changed to miller
@Stalkingyouisfn@WomanDefiner People don’t get that just because you were an admin doesnt mean you didnt train and get pushed every day of the weak. Plenty of technicians i knew tore acls running up hills for pt their body’s are irreversibly damage. Should they not be compensated when they transition
@CDEComics@sredne_axel@kurzler Just because places in africa have children with aks now, doesn’t mean Europen lords were levying children for war. It would be a very rare last restore. Its not the same kind of conflict , not the same weapons etc so thats not really an argument
@CDEComics@sredne_axel@kurzler I mean yea but not in late antiquity, or medieval Europe . A child soldier can sometimes work because guns act as equalizers as its point and shoot. But that doesn’t work for giving a child a spear and sending him after a grown adult who also has a spear.
@BorsSleepy@capybaroness And again to take from the book and they mean this, it’s not exaggerated in their law I guess “ you are three years old now practically a man grown” is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard not to mention his speaking abilities are beyond a 3 year old as i recall lol.
@BorsSleepy@capybaroness Jons might make the most sense for the most part but i feel like he would be some kind of puppet at that age not calling all the shots . At the age of 16 is where it’s believable he could be a soldier if still a bit young . Arya, bran , rickon are those most egregious
@BorsSleepy@capybaroness It’s not as egregious sure, still a little unbelievable rob is like a brilliant strategist at 16 and only really makes a few mistakes in the end. Its where its least a problem and if it was the only case it wouldn’t matter but it happens all the time and even worse
