@eiecampaign Just left eon (switched due to purchase on an EV), our direct debit increased at the end of a fixed term in July by 58% despite being £300 in credit and having been paying off a debit from when our meters didn’t work. They refused to use their own usage estimate to quote.

@Feargal_Sharkey @MartinSLewis Your estimated gas use is 5 times mine for a 3 bed semi, electric is double. Either something is wrong with your gas supply or this is hugely over estimated. Everyone should be making sure their bill estimates are accurate to their usage.

@Tallahassea @GMB I agree their profits may not all be from fuel but given that the %s on fuel duty haven’t changed their profits increasing by so much across the board does not fit with the current narrative. Someone is making extortionate amounts of money whilst we all make tough decisions.

@jcartlidgemp @Simon4NDorset Absolutely insane policy, I can only imagine the cost to administer this for the armed forces who will need their pay adjusted every time they move (for some annually)! Totally not thought through and has made my decision on who to vote for easier.

The profits being reported by Energy and Oil companies are sickening. Profits are calculated after expenses and tax, this is the extra money they have made after claiming the price rises are due to global issues!! We are all making sacrifices to line their pockets #Profits #fuel

@Tallahassea @GMB Happy to be corrected but I understood profits to be calculated after costs and tax, if so then even given all the unavoidable increases the record breaking profits stink.

@RishiSunak What about those with a genuine excuse? Some elderly and disabled people miss appointments due to taxi’s not showing up or buses not arriving? Admin costs will be higher than returns for this policy, maybe we should be looking at why so many people miss appointments?

@StormHuntley @trains_for_kids Train should be better but ours are so rubbish in terms of space for the pram that the car would be my choice. Plan a few services stops to allow the baby a feed and stretch (and for you to stretch your legs as well).
