45 to 60 minutes of “discrete” synthetic phonics for two years even for children who can decode? That is not evidence based, as our book “The Balancing Act” will clearly show when released on June 13th and at international webinar and launch on July 2nd.
It’s alarming that supply issues and policy changes are leading to more people having uncontrolled seizures. Asking people to switch, mix and match meds is no strategy for controlling seizures. SUDEP Action is concerned this will lead to increased epilepsy risks and more deaths.

Whilst vaccination of school staff would make me and them feel a lot less worried about the virus, staff safety is not the reason schools are not open to all. We’re not fully open because schools are a major element in community transmission. Vaccinating staff doesn’t change that
@Dr2NisreenAlwan This made me so cross. How does that add up? Teachers spend 6hrs a day *no social distancing* with children from around 30 families, who apparently don’t spread it within school walls...then these same children go home and ‘absolutely’ spread it to their families?? Not logical!
@Sue_Cowley Absolutely my line too. Same for my Y11. As long as they work hard it’ll all be fine. We will deal with anything that comes along and be proud of the amazing young people they are. X
