Abel Siseho Mubita who has been employed as a security guard at the Namibia University of Science and Technology graduated with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in Policing on Friday.
NUST is currently hosting its graduation ceremony at the Mercure Hotel in Windhoek.
“I would like to ask Mr Abel Siseho Mubita to stand up. He is a remarkable graduate whose story of sheer determination and discipline has left a mark on all of us,” said the NUST Vice-Chancellor, Prof Erold Naomab, during today’s graduation.
Mubita hails from the Zambezi region and took a critical first step to transform his future by embarking on his academic journey.
Naomab said that Mubita’s determination has shown that “dreams don’t wait, nor do they discriminate. He has set the bar high.”
