@akanemanhatr@DragoNugget64 the "lynching" thing is hyperbole in that we're treating someone who, in essence, made a bad joke 8 years ago like she did something far far worse
and I don't see moving the goalposts at all?
@sarceyboye@ostenbringer@UshiromiyaMemo subaru was suspicious, yes
but consider: torture bad. killing bad. she could have, y'know, restrained him and interrogated him.
there was no world where it was the correct choice to beat the guy (who couldn't even harm his attacker) within an inch of his life
@akanemanhatr@DragoNugget64 i think that if we're on a constant witch hunt against people who've grown for things they've done in the past, the people who make the things we enjoy will eventually be filtered to "only people who've done nothing wrong"
@JackGCartoons@nuttimeister I get it
But at the same time, they've already apologized for it, and it happened so long ago they've probably grown out of dumb jokes made 8 years ago
I feel like any more mention of it at this point is just dogpiling and repeating the same points
@monsoonlewind@naynaysnaynays man i think there's a lot more you need to worry about than a bad joke 8 years ago
you're 15 and filipino, there's a lot more to think about than internet drama
@monsoonlewind@naynaysnaynays who are you arguing for and what are you arguing towards
"silencing the voices of those who were harmed" did an artist enact fucking jim crow laws when I wasn't looking
@skrunkitup@CleverLittleRat@turbomander tbh i think odyssey would be a really good game, the best out of the rpg trilogy and top 3 tbh, if it wasn't so bloated
@skrunkitup@turbomander I like assassin's creed in this conversation because i dont think there's two fans that can agree what's the "3 incredible games" of assassin's creed
@therosettasun why do people talk like Jax is some sort of perpetrator in a domestic abuse case when he's just... an asshat.
i believe such energy should be used someplace more useful than this
@Brayden2028_ I think this is more because a lot of Isekais function as an escapist fantasy where the protag is already distanced from their parents, thus they're usually apathetic towards them
Re:Zero is the exception since Subaru just. Loves his parents. A lot.
