@j_divis Press a little deeper and suddenly you see this is a different religion. One based on irrational faith.
The scriptures ARE true. I don’t have to just blindly believe. I’m convinced.
@bofrench No one really cares what color your skin is.
The concern here is losing a culture. Texas is a praised culture. Seeing Indians raises questions around maintaining that culture.
All cultures have a right to preserve what they value. Focus on the culture. Not the race.
@CarnegieMellon Her: “die white man”
Carnegie Mellon: “we haven’t fired her because we want to keep her around. We’re reviewing this matter to see what we can get away with without being sued.”
As someone who grew up in the Muslim world, I’ve seen this pattern repeat itself:
When Muslims are weak and in the minority, they speak endlessly about tolerance, coexistence, and peace.
When they become strong and gain power, that tolerance completely disappears, even toward their own people.
This isn’t an opinion. This is historical fact, proven across centuries and across many countries.
The West needs to understand this pattern before it’s too late.
Tolerance in Islam is not a principle. It’s a strategy.
I’m a former police officer… we’re seeing a pattern… an apparent presumption that in any inter-racial altercation, if there’s a white lad involved, he’s the guilty party.
This was not good policing… the lack of situational analysis, the apparent assumption the white lad was in the wrong, and the inappropriate use of force - the female police officer who body slammed the young lad against the shutters - were all unprofessional.
The language “walk to the fucking car you dick” was also highly unprofessional.
We have to restore British policing. Only one party has a credible plan for doing so @RestoreBritain

@JMcMurdockMP We need more Jesus.
“If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.”
I John 2:29 NKJV
@BasedMikeLee Me: Why should I believe the Book of Mormon?
Mormons: Just try it out! Trust the feeling.
Me: Can we rationalize why this book should have credibility?
Mormons: No. You just don’t trust God enough!
@appraiserjacob@jakemmccleary@Protestia Also, if you want reference to others who think similarly and are much more equipped, I’d recommend the following:
Lee strobel, Wes huff, Mike winger are all popular
@appraiserjacob@jakemmccleary@Protestia Thanks. I appreciate the convo.
I believe you that the LDS community has good fruit.
If I’m going to base my life on something, I want to know it’s true and from God. Otherwise, what’s the point?
I’d also have concerns about false doctrine creeping in. Need to test it.
@appraiserjacob@jakemmccleary@Protestia Said another way, I’m trying to reference the historical events we can point to confidently.
So that if we know X, we can then deduce Y.
The gospels were accounts of what they witnessed. Supported by other eye witnesses some died for their testimonies
@appraiserjacob@jakemmccleary@Protestia I see your approach. I still think it’s diff.
Rom 1:20 - something had to create this world
Life of Jesus - reliability of the gospels (40 years after the events, eye witnesses, variety of people)
Impact on others -Saul, mass conversion of Jews, endured despite persecution
@appraiserjacob@jakemmccleary@Protestia I would start with ref to Romans 1:20 to say there is a God.
Then God has revealed Himself through Jesus. I would explain why it’s credible from the martyrs of eye witnesses, OT prophecies fulfilled, miracles performed, conversion of Saul, and more.
