@OrevaZSN In the Philippines, most clinics don’t have an appointment system. You cannot call for an appointment. You have to physically be there to queue. My elderly parents would often wait 3-4 hours to see the doctor. And the doctor is always late.
The answers to many modern problems are simple but politically incorrect.
So instead of solving anything, everybody pretends they don't know what's going on, and spend years misdiagnosing the issue, talking in circles, and wasting time.
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.
Lacson’s hypocrisy is on full display. He attempts to project an image of virtue and integrity but his actions betray him. It was the very Blue Ribbon committee he headed that outright dismissed the testimony of Orly Guteza—after Guteza named Romualdez, Co and Marcos, Jr. as recipients of luggages full of cash. They are the “big fish” that he essentially protected.
Vilma Santos elitism seems out of place, as her family dynasty is not a fruit of transformative political achievements but much to do with her showbiz capital. They are far from being a political elite. Their journey was simply a crossover from showbiz to traditional politics. It is not like her leadership has elevated her province to a level of noteworthy economic progress, nor has her husband emerged as a respected and distinguished leader in his own right. Both are so-so political figures, with Santos still regarded primarily as a preeminent actress and Recto as her “nepo-husband”. Lucky Manzano’s defeat in the last election clearly debunked Santos’s belief in their “celebrity elite” stature, affirming that they are not above scrutiny and criticisms. The people she considers “beneath” her are the ones who placed her in power, and they are fair game to demand accountability and moral uprightness.
What took the ICI months to investigate, Senate’s Blue Ribbon exposed in its initial two hearings. Despite the gravity of the claims, Guteza’s testimony was discarded without a proper probe. Romualdez remains unscathed. Sandro Marcos and his cohorts of House crooks are enjoying lavish feasts and safely tucked away in their respective mega-mansions, courtesy of DPWH flood control projects.
ICI was nothing more than a diversion, intended to quiet public outcry. It was never meant to succeed as any legit investigation would inevitably implicate the Marcoses. The only “commission” that actually works in this crooked regime is the one involving kickbacks.
Vince Dizon’s political ambition trumps his ability to lead with integrity. Leviste first called him out when he appointed his contractor buddies as his undersecretaries in DPWH.
Now, he backpedals on his previous agreement with Leviste regarding Cabral’s list. How can his statement be trusted when he did the same flip-flopping during budget deliberations? He initially agreed to reduce the DPWH budget, only to appeal at the BiCam to revert it back to the higher amount.
