Ive decided its not authentic to change tweeting style for the purposes of socialfi
Doing so, even in subtle ways, is a series of paper cuts that when stacked up over time will lead to annihilation
Im seeing it already on the timeline
The algo should punish style change
Iโve been full time crypto for 3 years 3โฃ
Turned $0 (got donated enough gas to mint my first artwork) into high 7 figs (on paper) before round tripping a high % of it ๐ธ
Took early profit on liquid high 8 fig trades and investments โ ๏ธ
Angel invested in dozens of companies ๐ฐ
Launched 2 companies ๐๏ธ
Done $20M+ in revenue across them ๐ค
Raised $6.8M+ in VC funding ๐ต
Hired dozens of people, w/ Endless Clouds team sitting at 35+ right now ๐งโ๐คโ๐ง
What a wild ride.
I made sooooo many mistakes along the way. But itโs been fun. And Iโve learned a lot about a lot.
Ask me anything?
I've thought about this topic a lot, and have spoken to many people about it. It's about what you do when you hit arbitrary networth targets.
$100K. $1M. Multiple millions.
Conclusion is basically that it's hard to break through certain barriers because you instantly go into capital preservation mode. I've seen it many times.
The thing you have to understand is that the market doesn't care about you hitting a million dollars, even though it may be super important to you. This means that in a logical scenario, you can keep scaling that up until your thesis disappears or you think the risk/reward isn't worth it at that point. Many of you will go onto hit these targets this cycle.
But.
Some will fall into the trap of thinking bull market never ends, I did first time around, but luckily found out before it was too late.
Entire first year in Crypto to millions was essentially 0 losing trades. I was euphoric and genuinely thought I could do 9-10 figures if I kept going.
Market humbles you.
You just need to realise that as long as you hit a calculated networth target, then you are fine. Because then the reward of going all-in when you can lose your dream life can be worthless compared to the risk even if the market feels perfect.
Don't look at arbitrary numbers "$1m" but rather a good calculation @ZssBecker recently mentioned:
- What is the number where if you could take out 5% from the initial annually, you would be completely happy with it?
(5% of $2.4M = $10K/M ($120K/yr))
Number differs from most people. Even though the market doesn't care about that number either, it is more useful than other targets, because the end goal isn't MORE MONEY but rather ENOUGH MONEY for your end goal.
Anyways just my usual rambling because Crypto is so financialized; yet few talk about money in detail. @DegenSpartan used to have very interesting questions around how to spend the right way. First goal is figuring out how much is needed.
