@stevespringett @kelseyhightower Decentralization is just a Buzzword.
A social network needs a fast feed for every user. This is very hard to achieve and requires a lot of sync. Mastodon would need to add a massive layer of replication. If n is the number of nodes we would have n*n-n paths. Around 55000 queues
Poland wants to build 6 nuclear reactors for 40bn €
Average price per reactor in the west in the last 15 years is around
12bn Euro. Average cost overruns are 300%
Popcorn project :-)
@kelseyhightower Saving rates increased 33% in the Corona crisis, then triggered a spending spree. pressure on supply chains led to higher orders. Now the chains work but people suffer from energy prices. Kind of a backpressure effect. Buy some Jordan’s! Nike has billions in overcapacity 🙂
@allenholub „In viewing the instinct for survival in this manner we imply that a basic aim or goal, as individuals, is to improve our capacity for independent action.“
John Boyd, Destruction & Creation, 1974
The last part of that quote should be part of a companies strategy
@feststelltaste I think Domain Charts are a view “inside the system” while Wardley Maps are more about cross domain/industry. More like a map for Boyd’s “Destruction & Creation”
