You are right, that’s exactly what needs to be done. And I spent my morning walk this morning, thinking about how to do it. But I came home completely mentally exhausted with the recognition that I already have multiple jobs, all my outreach is unsupported and unpaid, and at this point, I’m literally running on fumes. And that’s the same situation for every other climate scientist I know who’d like to do this. We have no comms team, no resources, no assistance, and frankly no time, either. So honestly – what would you suggest?
Zhang Linghe’s Final Episode of ‘Exploring the Future’ Leaves Weibo Deeply Moved
#ZhangLinghe’s documentary series, 'Exploring the Future: The Answer is Earth,' officially released its final episode this week, and fans across Weibo are calling it one of his most meaningful projects yet.
The Warner Bros. Discovery and WildAid project showed Zhang Linghe stepping back into the world connected to his real life university background in electrical engineering. Throughout the documentary, he worked alongside frontline engineers in wind power operations, ecological restoration sites, and recycling facilities while learning directly from workers who spend years stationed far from home.
One part that especially caught fans’ attention was Zhang Linghe openly reflecting on what his life could have looked like if he had never become an actor. In his final post, he described the experience as a form of self exploration and said the journey helped him reconnect with the technical field he once studied before entering the entertainment industry.
Weibo users praised the documentary for showing a calmer and more grounded side of the C-drama star. Many comments said the project made them respect him even more because he did not simply observe from a distance. Fans pointed out how he personally learned to operate equipment, visited difficult work sites, and spent time understanding the daily lives of engineers working in China’s energy transition sector.
Several trending posts also highlighted how deeply moved Zhang Linghe became after meeting workers stationed year round at remote locations. One engineer he mentioned, Captain Wei, reportedly spends very little time with family while continuing to work with full dedication. Fans said those moments gave the documentary emotional weight and made Zhang Linghe’s reflections feel sincere instead of performative.
The finale also reignited discussions about Zhang Linghe’s versatility beyond C-drama fame. Viewers on Weibo joked that if he had never entered showbiz, he could genuinely have become the kind of engineer featured in the documentary itself. Others praised how naturally he blended technical knowledge, curiosity, and emotional storytelling throughout the series.
For many fans, Exploring the 'Future: The Answer is Earth,' ended up becoming more than just China's sustainable energy documentary. It became a rare look at Zhang Linghe as both an actor and a young man trying to understand purpose, responsibility, and the people working quietly behind major green energy infrastructures in the country.
At a bar in LAX. The people on my left are speaking Portuguese. The people on my right are speaking Japanese. It's weird though, there seems to be one common word in both languages:
Shohei.
This and the part about the coordinated attack on Lancet are the most important parts of this story, imho
71% of Americans are willing to eat less beef for the climate. They should know WHY they don't think others agree with them (43% avg perceived support).
It's a little buried in my new story, but I also wrote about how some environment-minded groups took sponsorship $ from the Protein Pact -- a coalition of meat companies/trade groups w/a track record of delaying climate action & misleading the public.

loss aversion plays an outsized role in philanthropic giving; we must be willing to take *more* risk with philanthropic capital than we do with for profit capital
(unfortunately, that's precisely the opposite of what I see, with some exciting exceptions)
my first stop upon moving home was to local Third Place Books. RS's "Travel as a Political Act" stared at me from the entryway display.
My publishing delusions were DOA. The core text had been written. But I was so grateful that the message was out.
Read. Travel. Live. Love.
I wrote a weekly blog the whole time documenting the experience. I turned it into a manuscript full of passion and personal stories of the friends I met, experiences we shared, and changes we went through. People had to know, travel won't change the world. But it will change you.
Yes...it's my opinion. I wrote it.
(And not everything's an ad, Vincent. That's why I support public television, and encourage you to, as well — because it's driven not by a need to keep advertisers happy, but by a passion for inspiring viewers to embrace our world.)
Did they not deserve it each of the past three years, Jerry? Did they not deserve it in the off-season? You don't get credit for doing the right thing on a long, unnecessary time delay.
"We felt like this team deserved the opportunity to just go out and see if we can win the World Series."

Anyways given the full-blown tilt to racism, anti-semitism, islamophobia, sexism etc from "mou".
I'd love for you to contact your cycling TV provider and just make sure the freak doesn't get referred to at all at any point, cheers.
You're talking to me about Visma's respect, and a Scandinavian crash into him on purpose (look at the helicopter view) and Visma and 🐟 attack him when he comes back from a toilet break.
What the fuck are you talking about, these people are worse than Jews
More than ever, the difference between "We should never allow our public lands to be sold," and "We should never allow our public lands to be destroyed," is just a matter of a small nudge. We can do this.
Thanks for the inspiration @TempestWilliams

Sorry to be corny, but youth sports are supposed to be extremely cheap and open to everyone. Learning teamwork and sportsmanship with kids from different backgrounds, that sort of stuff.
My most bleeding heart opinion is that it's good for society to give poor people free or heavily discounted access to culturally and intellectually enriching experiences.
I can't put into words what this (now annual!) event means to these players and their families. Luckily, my younger brother can put it into words, and does, nearly every day. Years later, he can even tell you the name of Ben Gamel's dog.
Thank you, @Mariners!
