America has been utterly exceptional for 250 years.
It was the country that shepherded humanity in its climb up from near-animal poverty to the comparatively godlike existence we enjoy today.

For my slightly belated Fourth of July post, I identify the great enemy that is destroying the America we grew up with, and suggest some actions for us to fight back.
It's time to take our country back.

@avidfilm I think he kind of has a point, but I also think there are so many episodes of television that stand out to me and are memorable. Some of those are stand alone, some of those are rewarding because of the investment and build up of a TV show.
My personal pref are mini series.
@AllbrightNFL @NFLDraft_101 I would say the Portuguese tend to be the innovators. The Spanish kind of take it and run with it. However, I think Leverkusen and Xabi Alonso have been the most enjoyable team to follow the past couple of years.
@AllbrightNFL Inverting the Pyramid is a good book to start on the history and evolution of soccer tactics. It includes key contributors to innovations. If you ever want to watch a game, beer is on me.

Why are the owners willing to stick it out with SP and not GP and Russ?
Do they think they can go further with SP with limited draft picks, a new GM and huge cap constraints?
@RogerPielkeJr@AlexEpstein If total energy consumption grows, even if the percentage of FF consumption shrinks, there could still be an increase in FF consumption. It seems like you are both right, or am I missing something.
@RogerPielkeJr@AlexEpstein I couldn't comment on your substack ( I don't subscribe), but you used France's energy consumption as an example. You showed FF as a percentage of energy consumption.
Klopp is experiencing this for the third time in his career. He hasn't learned from previous experiences at Dortmund and Mainz, and that's his biggest failing as a manager.

Nancy Pelosi will go down in history as the first speaker not to allow a single amendment to be freely offered from the floor from any representative in two consecutive Congresses. She’s an antidemocratic authoritarian but gets a pass from the left because “whataboutRepublicans.”
